The reason they look different is because the older chambrays are made with durabuck/ synthetic whereas the '23's are nubuck which is actual sueded leather. That's why the edge lines are gone because when they dye suede it usually dyes all the way to the edge. Then it's dark too.

The ashiness remind me of the grape 5s they looked worn out after a few wears n if u wear ur kicks u do not want that. 06s look way better than the 23s.
