Start out by checking the inside size tag , it usually has a number like y3 and the date manufactured. although it can be easily replicated a lot of fakes I've seen don't have that size tag and then the next step would be just to match the review to the shoes and make sure all colors are the same that's what I do lol

i tried the aqua 8.0 and when i put on 8.5 it was a little tight. will the retro 8's fit similar to the 8.0? i'm worried cuz i have wide feet, so, for instance, the 8.5 drose 3.0 doesn't work for me because it smushes my pinky toes inward, even when i walk.
