That would have been about 1996. I first learned of Air with their song All I Need with Beth Hirsh of their Moon Safari album back in 96. Then I went and seen Beth Orton live and she was wearing an Air Moon Safari T-Shirt, I picked up Beth's Trailer Park CD and her Best Bit EP CD maxi single and Moon Safari and took them all home and loved every note!!!!!!!

@@sethwetzel974 I learned about Air with their song All I need in about 2007. I had recently discovered Zero 7 before that and was on a mission for some more chill music. Air was the next best thing I found. Better late that never.

The opening track on Moon Safari. One of the greatest opening tracks to an album ever. That sound before the music kicks in - the rain, the sound of footsteps on concrete. This is a core memory.

This piece I's such a pause. I put it in between breakbot playlist where it is more lively and French house and then cue the next track, Air just starts and just gives you a nice fresh air of downtempo of the same genre

Years ago when I was at an Air gig, after the show, I got to my car, whilst driving past stage door surprisingly Nicolas Godin climbs into the back of my car, we drive off through the crowd slowly, he asked what was the show like I said Pink Floyd in space, then he climbed out the car into the crowd, it was just me again lol great memory! nice guy.

A masterpiece. The whole album is. Sadly, I can only listen to this album without my wife, as she deems Moon Safari as having a comnection with an ex of mine. So I only ever get to enjoy this on solo car journeys or with my headphones on.
