I recently travelled to England return business class. Even though I booked with Air NZ, they put me on Singapore Airlines for three stages of the trip, THANK GOODNESS. The difference between SA and ANZ is humongous. With SA the seating was so comfortable and spacious, the food and drink was amazing, also you could not fault the staff, they were so polite and attentive. I would rate them 10/10. Then I flew the last leg of the journey (Singapore to Auckland) omg ANZ how could you get it so wrong. The seating was uncomfortable, the food was average and the hostesses could have done with some hospitality training, (two of the younger ones were very nice, polite and helpful). One hostess especially was just rude throughout the whole trip. When it was time to order the breakfast, instead of asking what I would like, her comment to me was "you having breakfast?" I had two lovely, polite young boys sitting in the two seats behind me, they were so quiet and well behaved but the way she spoke to them was quite disgusting. She was very short with them on many occasions. I would stay away from Air NZ business class until they upgrade their planes and hopefully their hostesses.

@@luxuryavgeek Flying short haul to Oz with ANZ is great in coach, you can't fault it, unfortunately though business class is not good on long haul flights.

Air NZ Are bringing out a completely.new business class this year ! Well overdue, Only for long haul flights to USA and Asia.. A few more years off for flights from NZ to Australia which is disappointing ! The current product is very average. Dated, Dirty, small narrow seats and has no privacy at all yet usually the most expensive fares in comparison to other better airlines. Almost a rort !

Hey I’m flying on this aircraft later this year, got 2K as my seat, had a question, what do we do with the bedding when we want to sit in an upright position? Cause the seat flips over to become a bed, and I’m guessing same button makes it go back to normal?

Hello, you’ll need to put the seat in upright position by yourself or by the crew. But it’s easy to make. And you have also a electric relax position (not full flat) For full flat, the crew will make the bed for you.

We flew for the first time in business class, a birthday treat and I was really looking forward to it. But I’m sad to report never again. I could not believe you had no where to put your items and yes the lack of privacy as everyone walks past you. Air NZ needs to lift their game. Compared to other airlines I have flown NZ is sadly a long way behind. Very disappointed 😒

These seats for the price are the worst seats ever !!! I'm over 6ft and and feel like the seats are only designed for anyone under 5ft 8in and less than 70kg - anyone bigger, you're in for a real bad & uncomfortable experience. And believe me, the tiny toilets are just as bad. "All" the seats are facing away from the windows - so you cannot see out !!! also you cannot sit next to you partner or wife or husband, in fact with the noise of the aircraft you'll struggle to even talk to them. I genuinely do not recommend this seating or toilet option - certainly not worth the money. Staff and food was good, everything else a total failure and not recommended !!!
