Um question who is playing Michael Jordan?
@mhaze210
@mhaze210 Жыл бұрын
MJ had 2 numbers in his career, 45 and 23. AIR was released 4/5/23. I saw the movie today and it's been a while since I felt this good leaving a theater. I've been thinking about it all day and it's made me feel more uplifted. I also didn't expect such an amazing soundtrack, probably one of my favorites of all time. They even have Tangerine Dream who composed a lot of 80's soundtracks. The movie opens with a montage of 1984 including Ghostbusters and Beverly Hills Cop clips while 'Money For Nothing' by Dire Straits plays. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon work great together like always, and Ben wanted Chris Tucker to play Howard White who Chris happened to know. So Ben basically let Chris write his own role because they believe in working in a friendly environment where everyone cooperates, and it certainly shows in this movie. This movie's acting, directing, and soundtrack was so good I'm thinking of seeing it again this week.

I was just thinking after seeing the movie today that there wasn't a line to match "Show me the money," from Jerry Maguire, but on watching the trailer again these two lines are pretty good. "A shoe is just a shoe..." says Affleck. "Until my son steps into it" finishes Viola Davis. A+ movie. I hope people see it even if _Super Mario Bros._ gets a lot of business this week.

I've watched AIR three times already, and I love it so much. Viola Davis as MJ's mom is a role model for all mothers, inspiring the strength we will need to try to live up to in order to face our country's problems. Even though MJ's mom is clearly a private person, it would have been nice to hear more of her story, for sure. I loved the male friendships in AIR because the team has intense disagreements but continues to support each other. There are so many beautiful monologues delivered perfectly, not only by Matt Damon but the supporting roles, too, as they try to take the right actions both for themselves and their team. The humorous push and pull fight scenes between Falk and Vaccaro are laugh-out-loud hilarious! We watch the verbal sparring between basketball players, coaches, referees and other players, but we don't realize this happens with agents and recruiters for company sponsors. The storytelling in AIR is really suspenseful. The many obstacles Vaccaro must overcome are played out with good timing by expert actors. Even though you know the ending, you don't know when and how the news will arrive, so they figured out a way to use suspension of disbelief and tension, so a known story keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's such a beautiful, moving story with terrific actors and great writing.

@WilliamEllison
@WilliamEllison Жыл бұрын
Going to a theater to watch a movie can be a great experience, but there are also several potential pitfalls to consider from a physics perspective. First, the sound in a theater can often be problematic due to the way it is designed. Theaters typically have hard surfaces, such as walls and floors, that can cause sound waves to reflect and interfere with one another. This can result in a phenomenon known as "acoustic interference," which can cause sound to be muffled, distorted, or overly amplified in certain areas of the theater. Second, lighting can also be a challenge in theaters. The bright lights in the theater can cause a phenomenon known as "flicker," where the light appears to pulsate instead of remaining constant. This can cause eye strain and headaches, especially for those who are sensitive to light. Third, the seating arrangements in theaters can also be an issue. Many theaters have seats that are not ergonomically designed, which can cause discomfort and even physical pain for some people. Additionally, the close proximity of the seats to one another can lead to a phenomenon known as "passive vibration transmission," where vibrations from one seat can be transferred to adjacent seats, causing discomfort for those sitting nearby. Forth, It is also important to be aware of the risk of physical assault in public places, including theaters. While assaults in theaters are relatively rare, it's important to take precautions to stay safe, such as avoiding dark or isolated areas, being aware of your surroundings, and seeking help if you feel threatened or uncomfortable. Additionally, many theaters have security personnel on duty to help ensure the safety of their patrons. If you experience or witness an assault in a theater, it is important to report it to the theater staff and the police as soon as possible. Taking steps to stay safe and report incidents can help reduce the risk of physical assaults in theaters and create a safer environment for everyone. Finally, there is also the issue of temperature. Theaters are often kept at a temperature that is too warm for some people, which can cause discomfort and even physical distress, such as overheating or sweating. In conclusion, while going to a theater to watch a movie can be a great experience, it's important to consider the potential pitfalls from a physics perspective, such as acoustic interference, flicker, passive vibration transmission, and temperature. By taking these factors into account, you can help ensure that your movie-going experience is as enjoyable as possible. Additionally, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has introduced new challenges to the movie-going experience. Crowded theaters can increase the risk of virus transmission, and many theaters have implemented strict health and safety protocols, such as mandatory masks, reduced seating capacity, and increased cleaning and disinfecting procedures, to help mitigate that risk. However, these protocols can also add to the inconvenience and discomfort of the theater experience. It's important to weigh the benefits and risks of going to a theater during the pandemic, and to follow local health and safety guidelines to help reduce the spread of the virus. Some people may prefer to wait until it is safer to go to the movies, while others may choose to watch movies at home, where they can control their environment and minimize their risk of exposure to the virus. Ultimately, the decision to go to the movies during the pandemic is a personal one that each individual must make based on their own circumstances and comfort level.

Just finished watching "AIR" on Amazon Prime. I absolutely loved it, and since i was 20 in 1980, the abundance of older pop culture images and sound-bytes brought to me much pleasure, as it was delivered so nice. Awesome cast. No one needs to be a die-hard sports fan to enjoy this storyline of great American history in business. Beyond Matt, Ben, and Jason; quite interesting to see Wayans in a somewhat serious role. Was only disappointed once: When the negotiation began on the % of sales, it seems Mom vaguely stated one number over the phone, but later when Matt went to Ben, and Matt received Ben's approval, it seemed so unrealistic that numbers were never spoken. And more unreal when Matt called the mom back, the absence of a numeric percentage. Don't want to close on a negative note - thank you guys for this wonderful feel-good movie!

I love Micheal Jordan, I was a kid when he changed Basketball forever, but Nike Signing Micheal Jordan is only the 2nd most important event in Nike's history. How Phil Knight started Nike is the story that needs to be told. He started working for a Japanese running shoe company (Onitsuka - ASICS) that almost NO ONE had heard of in the U.S. and made them a boutique brand in the American market, and tripled their North American sales basically by himself!

When you’re life is centered on watching the Bulls and Michael being drafted into NBA and watching that Bulls Dynasty flourish and thrive. Remembering LIVE when Jordan kissed the trophy after winning it. Remembering all that time frame and I LIVED thru it (I’m 55). This movie is A MUST SEE for me. From college to his last game I’ve been a Jordan fan. Just BLESSED I got to see HIM PLAY LIVE before he retired 2 times in United Center! BLESSED as he became a player on MY team at the time The Chicago Bulls as I lived 45 minutes south of the city of Chicago. Yes THIS is a personal movie for me AND CANT wait to see it. Love that I will be able, thru Ben and Matt, be brought back to my fondest memories in the past and live thru it one more time!! I can’t say YESSS!! LET’S GO!!! Any more than I have!!! ❤❤❤❤

Chris Messina is as hot as Pat Riley in this.!!! ---- But the other 'Chris' - the comedian - was way too animated, high pitch voice, eyes bulging, like a cartoon character.
