Air wont build tap air dryer purge valve

I just called roadside assistance about this issue, and they told me that since it’s now 9 p.m., they can’t get the parts tonight and suggested I wait by the roadside until they can fix it in the morning. They also mentioned that I’ll need to pay over $1,000 for parts and labor. But this road is a no-truck zone, so I’m worried about getting a ticket while waiting here. Life saver man worked like a charm. I tapped where the actual Housing unit is bolted on and it instantly shut for me. My man!

Worked like a charm. Well, Kenworth T680…centerline near the back of the driver side fuel tank. About ten taps, then covered the hole for a second with the hammer (rubber mallet). Sealed back up!

Hey guys if you do take the air dryer filter out PLEASE empty your tanks. If there is full pressure that air dryer will fly at you and hurt you.

Spray some wd 40 in the hole while its running and then cover it with your thumb to create a vacume , may have to repeat , every 3 months . That valve just needs cleaning.

I'd move that. The front can take impact and smashed front is 1 thing, but losing your air dryer is another. Mine's under body and central. Front is for bashing things. Lost 1 on a short stumpy post once, because in front of the front wheel.
