I have 🇬🇧AA TX200-HC made in 2008 fitted with a moderator, and it’s such a well made air rifle, built like tank. Accuracy is second to none and I hope and pray they don’t stop making them. Thank you Air Arms.😍👍

@Jordenkl I've worked with RWS rifles as well... but the TX200 is in a class by itself. I have a lot more to review over the next several years. I'm sure I'll continue to add to the the growing list of high quality rifles. The TX200 was a treat. I really answer to the viewers and I review what they want to see reviewed. I spend most of my time in the sub $300 category. Rick

@airgunfun2112 I may have mentioned this before.. I have 70+ different types of .177 pellets and as many .22 pellets. I go through what ever I need to get the best groups. so yes.. I tried the jsb.. the Crosman Premier Hollow Points were top of the pile. Cheers Rick

@Jordenkl I hope to test one high end rifle every other month or so. That way we can get a good overview of all the options out there. I'm very blessed that my work here gives me the chance to work with guns like this. Right now I've got my eyes sent on a one of the big bore airguns. Rick

There are two versions.. the AT44PA which is the pump action.. and the AT44S which is the side lever. I believe the hammerli PCPs were imported by UmarexUSA. I don't think they'll be continuing to import that gun under the Hammerli line now that Hatsan is here in the states under their own name. I'm confirming with my contacts at UmarexUSA now. The discount you see now may reflect the closeout of that model. Cheers! Rick

The Air arms TX200 .177 is a dream to shoot, when you get used to it. I have been shooting for over 50 years, and have owned many air rifles, and the TX299 is definitely the best rifle I have had the pleasure of owning.

That sure looks like a great airgun. Folks on air rifle forums are of the opinion that the TX 200 is the finest springer made. I didn't look at them b/c I thought they were $1000 in Canada. It turns out they're $600, $80 more than a HW97K. So many toys to dream about...

Fortunately, there are different options out there for each individual. I prefer the TX trigger to the rekord trigger. But, that is my personal preference. In the same way that some people preferred the air arms TX 200 over the HW 97. It does not make one person right and the other wrong it just makes people different. Cheers Rick

@Triplethreat600 I have the same experience with my TX.. it is boringly accurate.. That is a very good way of putting it. I like to take it out and have others shoot it.. often, even with inexperienced shooters, they shoot .25 or .15 groups at 10 yards.. it completely ruins them for any other spring gun. Rick

I just bought a .223 Savage for about $330 that can hold sub .3" groups at 50 yards as a stock gun with a miserable 7+ pound trigger. But I still like my TX200, because I like the hobby.. We don't buy them because they are cheap, but because we like the sport. It is the same with a 12 gauge shot gun.. you can buy one for $300 at walmart or spend several thousand on a custom gun.. The TX is the several thousand dollar equivalent, just in an airgun.. Cheers Rick

@filoIII I like my CFX as well. The advantage with the TX200 is that you can still stack them at further distances. It is kind of like my Remington 870 vs a $1500 shotgun the guys use up at the range for trap.. they both shoot 12ga and the both shoot straight, but the $1500 gun sure is nice if you are really into the sport. Same with airguns. They are not "utility" items, they are "luxury" items. Cheers Rick

I took possession of my brand new tx200 from Pyramyd yesterday. Its every bit as nice as everyone says, and surprisingly fast. I believe I got a hot one, as mine is showing numbers slightly higher than the one you have there. I'm averaging 983.4 with Crosman Premiers, and 1019.1 with 7.3gr Crosman Destroyers. But what really shocked me was the consistency from the Crosman Competition 7.4gr pellets. 5-shot string was 1001, 1003, 1002, 1003, 1002 in that order, and the gun isn't even broken in!

Great review and great shooting Rick. I bought one of these myself on Tom Gaylord's recommendation. You were really able to capture how beautiful this rifle is (almost) One suggestion: put some o rings in the two grooves at the end of the cocking lever. This will protect it from scratches, as the rubber bumper that is installed in the barrel shroud will come out eventually. I love this gun!

Is it better than a weihrauch hw97k?
@ottovonwallace8303 жыл бұрын
@@Brock-Lesnar-WWE I just preferred it. I seemed to shoot better with. It fitted me well, felt right and looked right. It's consistency is great for a springer though. The only other one I'd consider, don't laugh, is the BSA. It's actually a really good rifle too, but longer.

@huttobkh It could help a lot if the gun you are putting it on is inherently very accurate.. the more you zoom in however the more dramatic your movements appear. It really helped me to see that I need to relax between shots, focus, and work on my trigger control. I used it at different magnifications to see how that affected the shots.. I got the best results between 12x and 14x. I'll need more practice at 16x. Oh darn.. I'll have to go shoot some more...:) Rick
@AirGunWeb13 жыл бұрын
@lambchops1493 The only other guns that shoot as accurate as this or my R9 are my PCP rifles... which actually cost a lot more to get into with the scuba tanks, pump, or if you have the cash a compressor. I have some rifles that are fun to shoot that don't cost near this much, but the "wow" factor of the TX200 on the face of someone that has never held a "real" airgun is worth the price. Rick

@AirGunWeb13 жыл бұрын
@musicman19191 You would have to drill the stock for a sling stud.. you don't want to use a bi-pod on a spring gun.. you want to learn proper technique. If you want a bi-pod, get a PCP and go that route. It will work a lot better. Rick

Have had my TX 200 SR(semi-recoiless) from new,well over 10 years,might be 15 !. Taken many bunnies.Very accurate, a little heavy but think that aids its stability and consistency in its handeling?,Has not been in production for a long time perhaps due to its higher production costs. Thinking of buying a pro sport,the finish on these guns is very good and durable.
