Great video, and as I've been 'dreaming' about owning an Air Arms TX200 for too long now, the information you've given us here Rick is really helpful. This is perhaps, the 'Rolls Royce' of spring type Air Rifles and as such I really want to own one. My only issue,.... is coming to 'grips' with the price of right around the $1000.00 Canadian dollars, by the time it get's in my hands! That's an expensive springer air rifle!

I absolutely love my Tx200.177. It reminds of the quality and feel of the Purdey shotguns that I used to shoot trap with. I don't find it as finicky to hold and follow through with as some claim. The trigger is near perfection. I don't mind the automatic safety at all. I am waiting on a Weihrauch HW97K to come in and I can't wait to compare them.

It's not supposed to close up on your fingers, but it could fail. I had a plastic plate... on the job, I ate my lunch so after washing the plate I was drying the plate. The plate slipped out of my hand hit the floor [tile over concrete] on the rim, split in half. It had a sticker when I bought it saying "un-breakable"... it can fail !... good review 👍👏

If you hold a gun properly, the barrel will point away from you naturally. That's a safety feature too. Idiots still manage to shoot themselves constantly. No amount of engineering can prevent stupidity.

Hey Rick, I've been watching you since your Carolina days with the goat! The only thing I see here is that too many pcp's have spoiled the spring gun discipline out of you. Ha Ha! I have faith in you though Rick. You've come a long way and I know you'll get this right at 50 yards too buddy . I don't know if you remember this from 2012 ,but back then I had a Hatsan 135 in .177 that had a defective barrel that you traded me a .22 caliber 135 for that gun. Well, I still have that gun and with the Norma 15.9 gr pellets I shot a .449" 5-shot group at 50 yards about a week ago! God Bless you Rick and thanks for all the years you've been doing this.

Great video Rick. Love my TX 200 MK III in .177 caliber. I shoot dime size groups with mine at 50 yards all of the time. I shoot my two Air Arms S510XS ,177 caliber and .22 caliber in hunter field target at our 5 local clubs that we have in Ohio. I am setting my TX 200 up for springer hunter field target. Keep up the great videos Rick.

@russmiller4801 Жыл бұрын
Considering the many variables involved in shooting a springer: My TX200HC placed the standard Crossman 'dome' 14.7 grain pellets 1/8 th - 1/4 inch during preliminary zero at 10 yards. I'm sure 1/16 inch would be achieved with a third string on the bench. Consolidating pellets of identical / near identical weight would likely improve accuracy as well as switching brands. I plan to shoot targets 50 - 60 yards routinely with that rifle. The walnut stock has the exact same appearance as the rifle used in this video, as well as one or two clips from the UK.
@jaretdavies19913 жыл бұрын
great video, can't wait for more. I have the tx200hc and the pro sport both in .22 very accurate at 50 yards and worth every penny.

My TX200 in .177 generates over 13-14 FPE. So, I'm surprised that this gun (see 7:40) does the same! As for the pellets my gun likes: JSB Match Diablo Hades, Air Arms Diabolo Field (NOT heavy), and JSB Match Diabolo Exact Heavy. Each of these gives me a single hole at 15 yards and I would hope that they work well for you. Really looking forward to seeing more about this rifle. Especially, if you can get more power out of it!
