You two certainly shared a wonderful adventure with both hits and misses, thats called hunting. When I was young, my favorite varmint rifle was a Weatherby .224 mag, amazing flat trajectory. Loved your smooth jazz intro music. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome video! I used to load a 110grn Vmax in my 300wsm doing 4000fps. We called it red mist.
@EDCandLace4 жыл бұрын
Yeah we have been loading .300 win mag with 110g Speer varmiters for A LONG TIME. We have been loading up the Nolser 110 B-tips .308s in .300 win mag and .300WSSM for a while now to. People just don't know how well a .300 shoots with 110ers at 3950 to 4100 with 110s. We have loads dialed in with the 110g Noslers Btips in our Gun Werks and Dakota built custom target guns that will print .25 minute all day long. And red mist is exactly what .308 110g Btips do when leaving at 4000. I love my .22-250 and my .220 Swift and i love my .243 win and WSSM loaded with varmit projectiles but what the .300 does is just on another level. Shooting P-dogs with the fast .22s and btip hermit bullets is explosive.... Shooting them light round fast 30s is no longer just explosive it's flat nuclear .... And the fast .22s can't hold a candle to the fast .30s past 500y.

16:08 - Spooked the monkey by slamming the bolt closed. Do you not have safeties on these rifles, so you can have them locked & loaded, then quietly flick the safety off?
@peterburt29054 жыл бұрын
There was a shitload of wind noise so I reckon the bolt being slapped closed was probably inaudible to a monkey at a decent range. Also, if you're all just waiting for extended periods of time there's no safety as safe as an empty breach and/or open bolt. I'd hunt with these guys for sure but I've been out with some who seem to think that just because their finger's not on the trigger the rifle is perfectly safe. No thanks.
