Small game season started here a couple weeks ago. I have a lot of fun shooting 18 grain .22 pellets at grouse and squirrels. Estimating range on the fly is tricky and takes some practice. I usually don’t have the time to pull out the range finder. I miss a few but I enjoy the challenge. Thinking about putting a .22 cal barrel on my 1st gen. Impact so I can hunt “legally” with it. My main hunting air rifle now is a Gamo (BSA) Coyote with a regulator and a Hawke 2-7 scope.

Matt, I have been watching since I bought my Benjamin Marauder back in 2011 or 2010 when you was shooting your air arms s510 I believe it was. Anyways do you guys eat the squirrel that you kill?? We do, we in the South Alabama area. I shoot grey squirrel and they are some kind of good if you can find them big enough to shoot. I finally got me an FX rifle the FX Maverick in .30 sniper I wish now I would have gotten a compact model but thinking on getting a .22 hammer and barrel and change to .22 and shorten the barrel. Anyways have fun on your journey and be careful it's so pretty there!!!!!

Hello Matt, not to bash on your setup..but wouldn't it be more cost effective to hunt with a 22 rimfire? I mean airguns are amazing, I love them, but a 2000 usd airgun with a compressor and tanks seems like a lot when a 22lr will work just as well for alot less hassle. Love your channel.
