Controls and monotone gameplay. Driving lines is a big part in Tony Hawk. The game took just this and thats it. No own real identity. Only a good idea that didnt had enough time put in it to make it his real own thing.

Sonic Riders before Sonic Riders... I think the idea was to mimick Jet Set Radio but with air-skateboards, and then Sonic Riders mimicked AirBlade.
