I look at some of these comments and realize that people don't think logically. Airbnb isn't just used for vacation, a lot of people travel for work, months upon months. This video has been very helpful and actually saved me $220 buck off my monthly rate with a host. So many people jump to criticism and look like fools not realizing there is another world out there not just the one that they live in.

I found a place listed at $912/month and asked to discount it to $805 booking any length between 1-2 months with the possibility to renew again up to 6 months in total. Worst case scenario- they say no right? Wrong! They changed the rate to $1,250 and the other place I was interested in got booked in the meantime. Then I found a slightly better place that had zero reviews, thinking it would work better. It was listed at $1,230 and I just asked for ANY discount, not a specific number. As I mentioned I may have a cat with me for some of the stay, they just changed their listing to 'no pets' and never even responded back to me 😂 Oh, and this all happened after I had a place booked that cancelled on me the day after.

Sure! a lot of people do travel a week or two, but there are also a lot of long term travellers, Whole communities and families that do multiple months even
