Personally as mechanical engineer I dont prefer pvc valve mod. The reason is that while bike get hotter and cooler during warm up and ride if you put pvc valve pressure from the crankcase can get out but underpressure will stay and that can cause leaking seals. Best is the keep it as it is from factory. Then pressure will stay as normal as possible. When which pvc valve there will be minor water from warming and cooling which is normal and that water will vapor to airbox. 4t engine need prover breather specially 1 cylinder ones.

Just got a KLR and just found your channel. Great content, I have learned a lot and you've contributed to my desire for adventure.

Check valve great idea just got water in my crank case on my 2017 KLR after crossing a dirt road that had more water than I thought the bike still ran but had to change the oil 4 times to get all the water out so great idea I have eliminated the air box and ran a snorkel and crankcase tube runs up with snorkel and check valve at top as well.

Will the pcv valve mod have the possibility of damaging the klr engine? Did mine yesterday but a few people on klr forums have me paranoid

dont see how, youre just making sure it can vent but nothing can enter the vent hole

Wandering Beast I heard this helps oil to not run into the airbox when doing 12 o clock wheelies... any idea how this would help since the valve would be open as the engine runs in a wheelie?

The pock marks are from gravel and sand slinging off the rear tire and sand blasting the air box is my guess.

Bolt in rubber grommet was for hose carries fumes from fuel canister ...inlet .The funes get sucked in to carburetor from fumes in tank that are stored in canister at back fender

Yes hang a k&n filter out in the air and get a bigger main jet and you're getting pretty close to having the bike that Kawasaki wanted you to have go ahead and debaffle the exhaust but first make sure you know how to adjust valves because such mods require valve adjustment

Reroute your drain tubes they suck water in which goes into the carb.

Iv rerouted the carb air line but not sure how you'd re route the airbox drain without them holding fluid?

Years ago I routed mine up and over some junk back there and then shorted it up. Ever time i would hit a puddle the bike would cough and sputter until the water cleared out. One of the klr forums has all the details. Make sure the read all of them. They have an answer for everything klr650..

Here you are doing all you can to make sure your air box is air tight. Then you got a hundred other videos where the guy insists you have to pull out the snorkel because the hole in the box IS'NT BIG ENOUGH. Who's right? Content for the sake of content.
