I have my dads 1980 HW35 beech stock, It was the 1st gun I learned with as a kid. It still looks like new and shoots immaculately.

Having 65 years experience as a shooter, my beautiful walnut HW35 gifts me more smiles than any other firearm in my collection.

Bought mine when I was 22 now 75. It has had two services in that time and still shoots like new. Nice to see a review using open sights. Many thanks

Using the open sights it’s the real fun about this rifles I never use scopes I just do not like depending on the scopes , you are a real shooter if you use open sights 👍👍

Nothing beats a springer for learning to shoot and for truly SHTF moment. What with load shedding and all other nasties facing us, springers are just the logical solution as no need to worry about pumps, tanks and other extras required to keep your PCP charged and ready. Keep doing what you're doing and having a blast throwing in that good SA humour and good positive energy.

All break barrel pellet guns are underrated.. great job..
@wccross41472 жыл бұрын
Very impressive for straight out of the box which will only get better as the barrel gets "seasoned" with regular use. And the beautiful walnut stock speaks for itself.

Great shooting mate just remember to hold the barrel wen your putting the pellet in 👍

Try Indexing the rear sight to the Vee notch - it won't block out the intended target quite as much, & improves your field of vision down the sights. I also filed the front sight to make the blade thinner by about half, & took off the front sight shroud for better peripheral vision. Good shooting matey!!

Very good shots from using open sights, would be pellet on pellet with a Hawke 3-9x40 scope, Very good German engineered rifle, the Walnut on these 35Es looks nicer walnut than Air Arms.

Great video. I just purchased the two chrome versions from Robert Beemans collection.

Love the accent and the gun! A rifle that’s been around since 1951 - a year older than me - has got to be good!

Learn how to load a break barrel Springer, always hold on to the barrel while loading a pellet in the breach, no matter how many safety items are on the rifle,

Nice rifle these original came out the same time as the FWB sport which was lighter, you need to use a lighter pellet 8.4 jsb or air arms field also always hold the barrel when loading

These were introduced in 1951 and have been in continuous production ever since. A few slight modifications over the years but fundamentally the same rifle.

Mine is shooting the JSB 4.52mm 8.44gr at an avg of 768fps, very good rifle. My stock is the original with the finger groove instead of the checkered front. I think it looks more classic that way.

Great videos!!! How do you feel the HW35E compared with the HW50S you reviewed? 35E seems to have more power & FPE?

Yes the 35E has a bit more power,so if you looking for power then ill chose the HW35E

good to see the springers shooting slugs well, and at a decent speeds although my hatsan at-44 pcp .177 shoots the 13.43 grains at 1000 fps but great video all round

I was expecting a bit higher velocity. Still, the HW 35 has a good reputation.
@keithgoddard3923 Жыл бұрын
The 35 has never been a power house and not able to push it up by much either with any tune kit. It's a soft shooter that shoots very well with lower velocities.
@Funco1979 Жыл бұрын
@@keithgoddard3923 I miss my old Diana 52. It was in .22 calibre and probably produced about 15/16/17 fp of energy (the full power version - not the detuned version). I shouldn't have sold it and there wasn't a mark on it anywhere - as new.
