I've been airbrushing for just a few months now, and I got bit by the Gaahleri Mobius 0.3. I already had to get a new air valve, nozzle, needle and trigger. I ended up getting the Eclipse a few days ago. I'll use the Mobius as a beater airbrush... great tips and review.

Thanks man. Sorry about the Gaahleri. If the quality control was better, it would be a good brush. But you'll love the Eclipse. Thank you again.

Hi! How did you manage to replace the trigger?
@rebelscaleАй бұрын
I bought the Eclipse Takumi trigger from Tag Team Hobbies. I like it a little better, feels better to me.

Great video! Would you recommend the hpcs over the H&S ultra 2024?
@rebelscale6 ай бұрын
I like Iwata more, but I would see which is easier for you to get spare parts for. I know for me, I can easily find HP-CS parts locally.

Where did you get the preset handle?
@rebelscale3 ай бұрын
@@solarrage11 that's from the High Performance Plus line. The threads are the same, so you can buy the handle and put it on an Eclipse.

So that cap mod did you cut/grind it, or did you buy a new cap? i really like it, and I would like something like that on my iwata hp-b plus for easier tip cleaning
@rebelscale7 ай бұрын
Yeah, that's an Iwata Crown Cap that I grinded with a Dremel and then filed down better with hand files. I like the crown cap, but I can't see the needle easily. So, having this, I can easily see if paint starts building up on the tip. And cleaning is easy as well.
@mikenickerson34337 ай бұрын
@rebelscale okay that's what I thought. I actually just did this last night, and it's much nicer being able to see the needle without having to constantly taking the cap off to clean it

where did you get the handle?

It's from the HP+ line. The handles are interchangeable.

So......... The Eclipse has a .35 nozzle and so does the Neo. What makes the Eclipse better than the Neo considering the Eclipse is much more expensive.
@rebelscale6 ай бұрын
Good question. Quality and ease of use are the main differences IMO. The Neo is produced in China for Iwata in Japan, whereas the Eclipse is produced in Japan. The Neo has a small screw-in nozzle, whereas the Eclipse has the larger drop-in nozzle that is easier to clean. Longevity-wise, I think the Eclipse is a much better choice.

Everyone recommends the Eclipse. I personally would never buy one. The HP-CS I own is my least used brush.Spend the couple extra bucks and get an HP-C plus.
@rebelscale7 ай бұрын
HP-C is nice, but for newbies, the self-centering nozzle on the HP-CS is a lot easier to clean and maintain. Plus, Eclipse parts are so much easier to find. I do love my HP-B though for detail work.
