I have just installed the slug power kit in my .30 Impact. I ended up in a similar situation. 155 bar, valve to the 1st line and hammer spring maxed, but I turned the dial to 4. Small burst of high pressure to shoot a NSA 49.5gr. 950fps. I got a higher velocity of 970 but it used a lot more air and was not as consistent. Thanks for the very informative video ! I'm going to do some more tuning !

Yes it’s is funny how different the tune is compared to the original setup. I went out filming the accuracy and it turned out the best preforming at setting nr 4 970fps . Velocity isn’t everything, accuracy on paper is what counts

Another phenomenon that I had was as the velocity increased my slugs impacted lower ? ? ? ? Any thoughts?

@@bcml8 I bet that’s has to do with the harmonics of the barrel and the slug exiting on a antinode and pushing the barrel down . 1. Try 10fps more or less 2. Turn the liner 180degrees can also help that

if you are referring to the small block on the hammerspring adjustment, Yes it is normal it moves . Efficient will depend on the tune . The hammerspring adjustment is a tuning part , efficiency will be effected by it but it depends more on tuning in a certain way

With a dual tp for sure , the pin probe is a little different as seating depth is important and pellets have a skirt compared to the pin . A probe will push on the skirt where the pin pushes into the skirt seating it not far enough in some cases . If you use shallow skirts you might be oké

Very informative video bud. Excellent translation of thought to video. I wouldn’t mind getting the Impact MK2 , but I’m in a hard place between the more expensive Daystate Delta Wolf and the FX Maverick at the moment. Yeah I know 1 is double the cost of the other but still....not all the complications and fine tuning involved with the Impact. Truthfully if I were to get the Impact MK2...I would simply order it from Utah Airguns, and have them tune it for me for the 34 grain slugs. God bless you patience and understanding of this platform. The Impacts high shot cap magazine is the selling point for me with the Impact MK2. The Maverick is shooting lights out from the box/case. The Delta Wolf on the other hand is just plug and play. With the Impact you never finish, that's why I like it so much, there is always something new, my MK2 PP right now shoots the NSA 65 grains Slugs at 968-973 fps I have installed the pin probe, huma dual transfer port, huma 3gen regulator, .35 power kit, I never finish doing things, with this 100% tuneable rifle.

Yes , I can understand that’s a difficult choice to make between the Daystate and the FX Maverick/Impact . Although I can’t advise you on that particular subject as I never have hold or shot a Daystate 🤔 the tuning is also very different I guess since it is fully electronic from the trigger to the valve . I see it as a comparison between older fully mechanical cars and the newer once that need a laptop to diagnose 😉. For me personally the Daystate intriges me aswel because it is so different

Hi , I made it myself. It a simple 30 mm scope mount that holds a 30 mm tube and connects to the front of the saber tactical arca rail 👍

What is the difference between slugs powers kit and high flow dual hole transfer

They are completely different things . But both are some different accessories that work nicely together to give you some more power . The dual transferport allows more air to flow into the barrel The slug power kit contains some spacers to create more hammerspring tension and a slug probe to help more air to transfer from the plenum true the dual hole transfer port into the barrel . Where the original probe blocks the opening more and restricts the flow of air

It this the flow/approach that should be used when turning to a heavier projectile or is the process not that simple. 1. Increase reg slightly (5 psi at a time) 2. Increase, in small increments, hammer spring until no further increase in velocity 3. Increase reg pressure a little more and decrease hammer a little 4. Bring valve out (CCW) 5. Fine tune, very slight increments, the reg, spring, & valve Also, is the hammer spring knob just used to fine tune while at the range? I hardly ever see folks using it in videos. There are different methods of tuning, this is the way I like to do it giving me good results and efficiency. About the powerwheel I like to tune it on max setting to the highest velocity I am looking for then I go out and shoot it on paper at every setting and see which one is giving me the best results. Next video you will see what I mean exactly 😉

I want to install the pin probe e dual tp on my heavy slug liner 70mm on mkii power plenum ( same of you) BUT for 25 grains not installing heavy hammer and valve spring of the kit because i think under 30 grains and 150/160 bar is not the right choise...what about you...out of the box mk2 pp and jsb knock out have a peak at 900fps with 18.50 mm screw max weel and max valve and 130 bar, wanna check with dual tp, heavy liner and pin probe what i get in terms of velocity

Indeed the kit is more aimed to shoot heavier slugs but even at these lower weight slug and smaller caliber it works perfectly without problem 🤷‍♂️ I have installed it to be able and change the caliber or weight off the slug The TP and slug probe should give you 20-40 FPS extra

It’s the original spring that came in the Impact MKII compact with power plenum . Never measured it 🤔 but the impact is just over 1 year old

Don’t know buddy , don’t have a 357 🤔 . But I think you better install a heavier hammer spring , softer valve return spring , regulator on 155-160 and you should get there more or less

@@arubino19 ohh I see yes 👍🏻 , what I meant and could be confusing is that I adjusted the hammerspring in the beginning of the video to the point where the adjustment block doesn’t move anymore. But with installing the slug power kit and the two spacers you can adjust it even abit higher without damaging anything. Sorry for that confusion

Not yet , I have some but it needs a different tune I suspect. Once my jar off knockouts is finished I will give those a try aswel . I believe they also preform better out of a normal superior liner instead of the heavy since they are made from softer lead

To be honest mine had zero issues since the day I bought it , taking it apart many times over . The Impact is perfect but the way to keep it in perfect shape and tune isn’t easy . It’s not a unbox set and forget kind a gun .
