Today, We're going to explore UPRT (Upset Prevention & Recovery Training) we'll attempt to demonstrate the handling characteristics of the A320 and show you what to look for and how to handle when you find your self in an A320 in an unusual Attitude. Scanning the instruments and quick thinking but never rushing is Key.
After that we'll dive deep into understanding the Airbus FLS (FMS Landing System) a game changing feature Airbus added to assist pilots in doing Non-Precision Approaches. Understand this system and practically every approach becomes as simple as an ILS!
We'll show you the ins and outs of handling these.
Don't forget to like and subscribe! :) And let us know your thoughts in the comments below! :)

Nice, knowledgeable and educative video!! I would request you to make a video, if possible, on different holding entries, how to insert a hold via the MCDU, how to determine what method of holding entry to be chosen, how to make a circular 360 degree turn.

Great video as always! You're a fantastic teacher. The pacing, comedic accents and common sense explanations make it fun and educational at the same time. Pure gold :) Could I make a suggestion? I think it would be very interesting if you made a video about the simulator itself. How it's build, what hardware and software does it run, how you control it etc.? I think that would be super interesting, especially for the flight sim crowd. How did you make MSFS 2020 run for the visuals? What is used for the systems? ProSim? P3D with the FSL A320? How does it work license wise?

Thank you for all this great information. Could you pls confirm if in the UPRT, levelling the wings first, only applies for UPRT Nose Down? And if it is a UPRT Nose Up, we first apply nose down and than level the wings? If you are below FL200, don’t you apply Flaps 1 to keep the stall margin greater? Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Hello, Good question, If you're in a UPRT type situation, regardless of being Nose Up or Nose Down, best things to do it level the wings to gain maximum pitch control over the A/C, don't mess with the flaps, just lower the nose and increase power once you're safely out of the "Danger Zone" level off and adjust as required. Hope this helps :)

Hi, as always, your video lessons are very interesting. The UPRT is very important and how to react technically to exit a combined stall (roll+pitch) when you are in normal low or not in normal low. Regarding the FLS, in the real aircraft, how is this function enabled? Did you get my ZMCK scenario link?
@waypointsaviation
@waypointsaviation Жыл бұрын
I believe it’s enabled by default cause when selecting the rnav approach it automatically displays the F-APP and when you turn on the LS you see the LOC & GS double line diamonds

@@waypointsaviation I read a technical article about RNAV RNP and PBN. To be able to handle this function realistically by selecting an RNAV procedure, MSFS should have a parameter for handling GNSS and radio beacon (PBN) deterioration. The FLS system simulated well on the Fenix as well as on the Prosim, should not be selected by the user but by the PBN function.

I am not sure if you have touched on it yet, I can't remember, you have so many videos now, but I am unsure as to how my sitting position should be. What would be the ideal position to maintain a harmony between comfort, instrument view / operation and outside viewing (especially for landing). Do you have any tips / secrets on how to set the sitting position up?

Kiwiness!!! Good question, we haven’t covered it in the channel cause we don’t really have the equipment in our sim to demonstrate it, however in the Airbus on the pillar in the middle of the cockpit on the windshield between the pilots, there are 3 balls called the “eye reference indicator” it’s 3 balls in a line 2 red ones on the side and a white one in the middle, the white one is slightly lower than the two red ones so you’re supposed to adjust your seat in such a way that when you look at the balls they line up. This is the optimum seating height for a pilot Hope this helps buddy 😁👍🏽 images.app.goo.gl/pABuWh9TWDb6arup9

You need to take this video down. The UPRT advice you're giving is not in accordance with the published Airbus recovery technique. In the last scenario you must recover from the stall before rolling wings level. It's also unlikely that you're remaining within the validated flight envelope in some of the scenarios.

I think you did not apply the stall recovery correctly. You forgot the flaps . You below 200.
