The Airbus A350 has become a staple aircraft in long-haul aviation, covering some of the longest distances in the market. The European aircraft manufacturer has continuously improved the airframe since it entered service and this trend will continue. Beginning next year, newly produced A350-900s will be equipped with upgraded Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines.

That's the point: Airbus and partners are constantly upgrading their products, showing in the process that they hold their engineering departments in the highest premium. Boeing lags behind in this department.

So Will these upgraded RR engines have any increased power too? and if YES: would these be enough for Tim Clark/Emirates - who, I recall, complaining that the A350 was underpowered and hence Emirates decided not to buy them.
@edwardwilcox6606
@edwardwilcox6606 Ай бұрын
I don`t think A350-1000 is underpowered, I believe it`s got decent performance even at hot & high airports, I think Sir Tim was concerned more with the durability of the engine. For reference you never hear complaints from Qatar who actually run the aircraft on it`s performance & they use that aircraft on some of their longest routes. I doubt they up the power though if it`s enough already, just improve the metals & coatings for more time on wing.

@@ricky1231 how about this. Let T(K) be the temperature in Kelvin and T(C) be the same temperature in Celsius, then T(C) = T(K) - 273.15, now let T1(K) and T2(K) be two arbitrary temperatures in kelvin. Then T2(C) - T1(C) = T2(K) -273.15 - (T1(K) - 273.15) = T2(K) - 273.15 - T1(K) + 273.15 = T2(K) - T1(K), Thus T2(C) - T1(C) = T2(K) - T1(K) which is what I was trying to say in my previous comment.
