Both my grandparents were pilots in WW2 one flew the SPD and the other took up the F4F hellcat. I continued that legacy taking up the F/A-18 Hornet during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Both my dad and my cousin also served in the USCG and USMC as officers as well though they were not pilots.

@@Resckyo I would say military service regardless of country should be respected :) I once knew a British officer who could trace his family military history where at least one member of the family served in the British military all the way back as far as the revolutionary war(4/19/1775 - 9/3/1783).

MOAR WAR THUNDER also you should've use either F4 wildcat, a more time-accurate CV fighter, or P-40's since you are striking from a land base. Torpedo-armed B-25 were also an option.

When I dive bomb in any kind of games, i push my plane to the absolute limit of going the highest altitude i can in the shortest time possible, and go in a very horizontal way, as in directly above the target and pulling off, i use the fighter flaps but i dont think it will cut it anymore. 85% of the time i crash after diving cuz of the perfectly straight horizontal dive and being too fast to pull up.

I've flown some of the WW2 aircraft myself from both sides out of all of them the absolute last one I would ever want to fly into combat would be the zero. With no armor at all one single round in the right place was all it took sometimes to take a Zero out and turn it into a meteor on a collision course with the surface of the ground or sea. If I had a choice, it would defiantly be the P-41 thunderbolt. Not only is it a great ride but in combat it could take a severe beat down and still stay in the air. I've heard stories of some thunderbolt pilots getting back to base and going down the aircraft trying to count the times they were hit by enemy fire. By the time they reached 200 bullet holes they gave up and stop counting (all of those hits were all mainly located in the engine area too) 1 round from an American fighter over an aircraft that can take every round a ME-109 is carrying I'll take the one that can take everything thrown at it any day.

Funny that the F-4U Corsair was called the Whsitling Death. The Japanese word for death is "shi", and 4 is considered unlucky because it is sometimes said as "shi". They refered to a plane with "4" in it's designation as Death.

For most games, I would say it takes patience and practice and when it comes to a flying stick as a controller then those controls make a bit of sense (the whole left is right, right is left, up is down and down is up BS)!?! But when you are on a regular controller….. NO!! No, that makes zero sense!!! I understand that they didn’t have the tech back in the days of the OG “Ace Combat” game (I played almost all of these when they came out mainly because my brother loved them also! But was actually good at them)…….. but nowadays, there’s really no excuse why a newer game doesn’t have options to change the controls!?! It’s all good nowadays! I’m no longer the target audience!
