Congratulations Kay! I flew a Seneca II for a Construction Company back in the 70's and loved the airplane. We usually flew with 2 or 3 company execs and it handled the load nicely. The only thing I would recommend is to change the oil and filters regularly (I believe I changed the oil every 50 hours) and to get an oil analysis every time. The analysis on one of the engines consistently showed minor metal contamination. It was this same engine later that had a catastrophic failure at 200 feet during a takeoff. It was easy to control on one engine after you feathered the affected engine. Make sure to constantly practice engine-outs.

Pilots from all over the country and out of the country fly in for this event each year.. All pilots whether they fly a Piper or not are welcome.. If you google this you can get more information. Anyhow if you can't make it this year come next year. Can't wait to see your next video... Mellanie Boone

Gr8 aircraft. The Seneca was so cool, Piper came out with many fine aircraft. I also like the pressurized Malibu Mirage, but most of all the Seminole--for some reason its T-Tail reminds me of a small airliner. I have never flown as pilot in command a multi engine aircraft, just small two place single engine aircraft under 1320# gross that fell under Light Sport, and trikes from time to time, gradually giving up recreational flying as I grew older and shifted my interests into more vacation time with family right before and after I retired from my teaching career. I enjoy videos like yours, they are educational, and moreover, your relaxed voice inspires those with fear of learning to fly might try. One does not have to own--I rented, which for recreational flying and VFR flight was fine. You scared me when you mentioned going into the back and watching a movie, but then you mentioned your Dad was flying, lol. Suitable for GA flight and also for former business travelers like I was is "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles". I recommend that movie as GA pilots laugh at those trying to make commercial connections behind our backs. JC

Great plane and all the best with it (:-D). I have lots of time in the big brother, the Chieftain and got my Multi in the Apache. I would suggest that you get the Merlin automatic waste-gate controller for those engines as an over-boost can be very bad news. They will save you a LOT of heartache (and $$$) later. I had the same engine in the Piper Turbo Arrow. On takeoff you advance the power and suddenly the MP will rapidly increase so you have to be ready to pull back.
