@@FlyWithKay how does someone who is scared of highest and flying get over fear of flying
Remember, every flight is a training flight, even when the instructor isn't along for the ride. The added comfort of a second engine in IFR conditions is nice to have although in order to take advantage of it on departure you need to understand you climb gradient (or lack of), just flew back from PSM and at 900ft I was in the clouds, month prior it was 400ft and heavy rain. Take it easy for a bit as you are still learning the aircraft, yes it is a big Cherokee but as you noted it is a lot heavier and it is quite a bit faster. Please be safe, and maybe I'll see you and Pops again at OSH this year.

And by god- do NOT fall prey to the devil’s lure of flying far on only one engine. Lose one and it’s time to look down for a strip asap. Hello! Writing from Sweden and I just found this channel on KZbin. Clicked the subscribe button too. Since the age of 12, (almost 50 years ago) I have been fascinated by flights and airplanes. My dad had a Piper PA38 Tomahawk from 1978, which he used for work. I got to fly along many times. Never dared to get my own pilot's license, but I love everything in aviation and airplanes. You are a fine and fascinating pilot, with that little "extra". You always fly so calmly and safely and your radio traffic is out of this world. Exciting to come along on this journey, of discovery with your new plane. Greetings and love from Sweden.😍🧡💛💚👍

I can appreciate the way you configure the cameras. I am very specific as to which KZbin channels I subscribe to and your channel is one of them. I can appreciate the fact that you talk through every detail from start to finish throughout every flight. I’m continually doing a lot of preemptive studying on my own. The goal is to become a private pilot with an IFR rating and a multi engine rating, if it is in God’s plan for me to do so. I’ve been a single parent for a very long time to both of my children and my youngest is now planning to go to University, so I need to put their needs first before mine. I did do some flying in the past but not as of now. I have a Bose A20 aviation headset and would love to use them. They’ve been sitting around for roughly two years now with no use. If you happen to be in the South Florida area at any time, would love to do a nice KZbin video. Thanks for your professionalism in the left seat. Looking forward to many more teaching videos (in my case), from you. Amen.

I use the Mountain High O2D2, it's an on demand system that senses when you inhale and gives you oxygen only then. It doesn't just flow oxygen all of the time. It doubles to triples how long your oxygen lasts. With a built-in system it's tough to find places to refill, and it's expensive so you've got to make it last.

Congratulations! My dad was an accomplished aviator. He owned a multitude of twin engine aircraft. From a Rockwell commander which was my personal favorite because the over wing made you feel like you were flying on a tip of a pencil. Then a king Air 300 then finally a King Air 350 with advanced avionics and extend range. I flew some like every week, always with my dad. But I was never multi-engine rated. We lived in south Orange County and my dad kept his airplanes at John Wayne. Before my dad passed he wanted me to get my multi-engine license. We always flew out of the LA Cordor no matter where we went, but the pressure of being surrounded by Ontario, Long Beach, Burbank, Santa Monica and LAX was kinda insane. When we flew night or day. We had to pay such close attention to what we were doing, for me it was truly nerve racking. My father ate it up for lunch and seemed to thrive in it. The best piece of advice I can give you is. You must fly frequently. Preferably every week. My dad had a lot of friends that had spectacular airplanes but they flew them every 3 to 6 to 9 months. They would run into all sorts of problems. Because of there lack of familiarity. A good friend of my dad had an advanced Merlin engine Spitfire completely restored in England to the tune of 7 and half million dollars. He was an extremely accomplished pilot, flew in F4 in Vietnam, flew for Hollywood for many major productions, props and jets. He always was a corporate pilot for some of biggest corporations in the world. When his Spitfire was completed he flew to England to pick it up. Because he was older now and retired he hadn’t flown in several months. Upon takeoff the beast of the Merlin motors pushed him almost dead right. He did his best to correct. But couldn’t. He crashed and couldn’t get out of the aircraft and it caught fire. He eventually got out but was severely burned. It’s of the utmost importance that you fly regularly. Like ounce a week if possible. That way any problems that develop you can easily mentally adjust. Good luck and most of all have fun.
