How I wish Air NZ still operated the 747! I never got to fly on one, or the 767s for that matter. And the old teal livery, so pretty!

I've always wondered, are you allowed to visit the viewing deck at Auckland airport even if you're not flying? I'm assuming that's how you're filming or are you a frequent flyer?

Hi Jeremy - the viewing lounge at Auckland International Terminal is for both viewers & passengers. I have used the departure lounges, after check in, for some filming also. Currently the Public Viewing Lounge is closed for updating & should be available after August, 2015. Thanks for joining my Group. Mike - AirflowNZ

Hi Aviatorspot. Auckland International/domestic do not have any outdoor viewing for the General Public. I attend Media Events and have a few contacts for filming. About 1km East from the runway along Puhinui Road there are two Public Viewing areas with Parking for 30/40 vehicles. It is close to the action. Thanks for your comment. Mike-AirflowNZ
