i would've much rather used something like this than a plastic scraper. air hoses and other tools are always with you in the tank. to work in tanks you have to contort and conform to the environment.

Would be nice to have this to get the sealant off F/A 18 LEF transmissions otherwise its an 8 hr shift elbow grease by hand job. But $3500 🤬

We're currently working on an AD dealing with the Metroliner where the tanks on either side of the spar have to be stripped of proseal and inspected for cracking and then re-sealed. We've got 4 aircraft to do; still working on the first one. Three workers, 3 days @ 8hrs. It's insanely painful, I wish we had this.

It’s a cool tool, but $3,500 is way too expensive for anyone that doesn’t do this type of work for a living. You should think of renting out the machine for guys doing a wing reseal and only need this tool for that 1 tank..

One of the most inefficient ways to remove sealant! Ask for a video on actual in tank operation. Cost of consumables and lack of maneuverability is not worth the money nor time to meet a tight budget or time frame.video is misleading because it’s not in actual in tank work.
