I walked by its brother at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson last January. Looked like a Hun with an Air Conditioner above the wingroots. I did a double-take, as I was unfamiliar with this aircraft.

It never fails to blow my mind that the stuff the consider to he “not worthy of display” is the most rarest stuff to most museums but to them its average. Greatest collection ever!

The Junkers Ju-52 looks ready for display! I sure would like to see the Heinkel He-111 restored.

That's a post war built Spanish version of the He-111. It’s called a CASA 2.111 and powered by Rolls Royce Merlin engines

I miss the days when the public could to both the storage and restoration hangars - was the best part of visiting the museum. The ladies that gave the tours were great and it was a treat when we could speak with the restoration staff.

Old Friends and unique examples. Worked on the Raven mostly when it was an A model, pre conversion, but saw it often, same flight-line, after. Flew on the C-21 while stationed at 5th Air Force and 7th Air Force. Glad they kept both the Thunderceptor (F-91) and the F-84 FICON. Just imagine if they could suspend the B-36 Peacemaker and display the F-84 underneath. Hope they display some of these in my lifetime, especially the EF-111A next to my other old friends, F-111A 67-067 and F-111F 70-390.

My late dad saw almost all of the 38 B-23 Dragons lined up at some USAAC base in California around 1940-41 when they were delivered to replace the B-18 Bolos. He had a bunch of pics from those days I think were donated to a museum in the late 1970s. As I recall, one pic showed at least 2 dozen of those lined up wingtip to wingtip in two rows on the ramp.

Yall should offer tours of this and restoration no doubt lots of people would pay to see this stuff

The museum should have a spot in one of the main hangars they can display one of these stored aircraft and rotate them out every so often. I think a lot of people would enjoy seeing these aircraft displayed as they sit now. Could be a great fundraising avenue to raise money for another hangar to display them all.

So many great aircraft and they all need to be seen and enjoyed, but so few resources available. Shame. Some have been on display in the past, but alas not now.
