Airfix 1/32 Scale 1911 Prince Henry Vauxhall- Full Build Video

Often viewed as one of the first sports cars; The Vauxhall Prince Henry was a car manufactured by Vauxhall from 1911 to 1914. The line was based on the Vauxhall C-10 three which entered in the 1200 mile (1900 km) long Prinz-Heinrich-Fahrt (Prince Heinrich Tour, also known as Prince Henry Tour), 1910 Motor Trials. In 1911 Vauxhall launched the vehicle to the general market, named in honour of Prince Henry of Prussia. Production of the Vauxhall Prince Henry ended in the year 1914.
Sadly like the short run on the real car, this 1/32 scale kit by Airfix was only in production from 1971 to 1978. This kit hasn’t been in production for 42 year at the release of this video. You can only get these classic Airfix Car kits through second hand sources. Luckily for me I was able to find this kit (COMPLETELY INTACT) on TradeMe (NZ’s home-grown version of EBay) for about $26 NZD ($17.25 USD as of 16/01/2020).
For an older Airfix kit this is one of the best kits I have ever built. Here’s hoping Airfix will re-issue these kits under their Vintage Classics Line.

The look and sound of this video is so well done in relation to the subject, a 1911 car. It's a classic movie. To make holes in the dashboard and glue the printed meters in from behind is very clever, I've never seen that before. Thank you for your effort.

Brilliant, where did you pick up that kit. I can remember making that in the late 60's unpainted of course, It would have cost me a couple of shillings :). Airfix had loads of vintage cars then, Brilliant Video

I was able to find this kit (COMPLETELY INTACT) here in NZ on TradeMe (NZ’s home-grown version of Ebay) for about $26 NZD ( about 13.24 GBP as of 16/01/2020). Here’s hoping Airfix will re-issue all of their classic car kits under their Vintage Classics Line. And thanks for watching :)
