Stunning work as always. A super kit but at my level of expertise it would represent a nightmare in a box so whilst I can admire your skills and patience I don’t plan to add this kit to my stash!

A lovely build and a very nicely produced video. Lots of useful information in there, particularly regarding the engine cylinders and rigging. I’ve started mine and you’ve given me some handy pointers, thanks.

You’re one of the few people I follow using Citadel paints. I was a huge Warhammer 40k builder for years and loved those paints!

they’re great for brush painting Paul I love them and they’re my go to as you know

Beautiful work (as usual), on a nice little kit! I thought that polished aluminum over the gloss black was going to look like a mirror, but it came out quite nice! I have heard that AK bought the Alclad line, if you know anything about that, please share it with us. Once again, beautiful work Steve!
@TheModelShed4 ай бұрын
I didn't know about that I thought a different company had bought Alclad. Some of the guys at my club use it but I can't recall the name just now.

Excellent result!! Looks very nice. I have the kit and was surprised with the crispness of the moulding for an Airfix kit. Will build it as a Swedish J7.

interesting option - I don’t have any inter war RAF types and I like how colourful they were so it was always RAF for me

Nickle-silver rod for the rigging - brilliant (pun intended) Steve. 😁 Would that work on a Wingnut Wings model? With the elastic string I worry that they will eventually sag or snap. Doesn’t happen with metal rods, although you won’t have scale turnbuckles on the rigging then. 🤔
@TheModelShed4 ай бұрын
It would work Ronald although the larger distances in 1/32 might mean its harder to maintain the straight runs. For 1/32 I still prefer elastic rigging thread and as you say its possible to represent turnbuckles with it.

Did you have any fit issues with the trailing edges of the wings, Steve? I have seen another build whre they didn't want to come together along the edge.
@TheModelShed4 ай бұрын
Yes I did John - they’re thick and benefit from a bit of sanding to get them to come together without leaving a fine gap.

Is the tiny prop on the port wing too far back ??

Look at photo 51.06 ???
@TheModelShed4 ай бұрын
I see what you mean it looks as though it's not in front of the wing. It is though - must just be the angle of the photo.
