About Modellers Workbench:
Run by me - Scott. Aimed primarily at plastic scale modelling, but I also do model with other materials. I do have a bit of a passion for Large Scale Planes in 1/32 but I also model Armour and Vehicles and well whatever else I feel like. I am also in the process of building an n scale model railroad layout so I enjoy modelling scenery and dioramas.

Nice to see an unweathered model for a change. A peacetime aircraft would be well maintained and kept clean. Cheers from the Yorke Peninsula.

Totally agree. I am not a huge fan of crazy weathering, I think it depends on context. So eg my Wildcat at the end of the War I did heavily bleached etc. But I figured they had more important things to worry about than paint jobs. But even still it seems a shame in my mind to spend hours making something look nice to then make it look crap. With the Sea Fury all the pics I saw they looked spotless. Thanks for watching!

I read that a mix of interior green and sky gives a fairly accurate representation of the wheel well colour

Zinc chromate is bright yellow by mixing in a little black paint you ll get green zinc chromate

No I didn't. It really is a well done kit. No pilot which is a bit of a shame, but in general I think the after market figures are better. Thanks for watching!

If you put the ailerons at an angle one should be up and one should be down. You seem to have both down.

Lot of people make this mistake. Also make sure you move the control column to reflect the position of the control surfaces. Though it may be difficult now you have finished what is a fine looking model.

I am really glad you brought this up. I really could kick myself for completely missing it and now that you have pointed it out it seems so obvious. I was thinking today about the control column reflecting the positions. Yeah I am tempted to leave it as is and move on - lesson learned. Thanks again!
