This is my Airfix / Academy 1/35 T34/85 No112 Factory, Full Build, Tank Model Step By Step, Part 2. This is the Airfix boxing of the Academy kit, the kit features link and length tracks, photo etch engine grills, heavy cast texture on the turret and relevant parts and slide moulded gun barrels.
In this video I finish the painting and markings and weather the tank with oils, pigments and washes.

The color of the mud and dust compliment the tank color perfectly. I have been following your beginners series but am still finishing the panzer II.

The series continues.....great job on the tank and thanks for your encouraging remarks re the weathering.....agree, better to finish five well rather than fifty not so. Check you out soon on the next one.

Thanks for the comment about chipping. I agree that, realistically, many pieces of armor were out of commission long before they ever had a chance to chip OR rust. As always, great video. I’m glad you show how even accomplished modelers run into problems of their own making and present possible solutions to such cock-ps, you Limeys like to say. Can’t wait to see the 251.

Somebody who actually thinks how the mud and muck would actually get on the vehicle. And who doesn't see "chipping" everywhere. Good on ya mate.

Interesting to see how you went to town with the pigment washes. I bought a couple of the Vallejo model washes with pigment (Desert Dust and Euro Dust) recently but think I need to be more bold with whacking them on the model. My first go I applied it sparingly and once it dried you could hardly tell. Looks like you need to take a leap of faith and just slather it on in the right spots, wait for it to dry.

Great stuff - personally as a beginner who wants to progress i think these kits are perfect for t that as they need a little bit of work. Maybe you are a bit of a perfectionist - like as you say with Tigers 🤣

Nice presentation, great advice and an excellent result, thanks. Not going to mention snapping off a fuel tank then? Just going to pretend that never happened are we? I see, I see.

Why are people insisting on using TETC? Use acetone instead - it's much faster, binds stronger and hell, you can get it from pretty much anywhere (I use nail polish remover without oil from my local grocery store), with the only downside being that it ruins paint, so everything painted needs to be repainted if there is spill.

Do you buy or make your own pin wash as I've seen you can make this using oil's & enamel thinners...

Would you consider using ammo’s oil brushers I feel they would be a lot more beginner friendly
