Airfryer/oven Methi Muthiya for Undhiyo | How to make Methi muthiya for undhiyu | Oven Methi muthiya
AIrfryer Methi Muthiya for Undhiyo/Undhiyu Vegan) :
These methi muthiyas are used in popular traditional Gujarati recipe “Undhiyo or Undhiyu” and it can also be added in various Gujarati Curries. I will be sharing the recipe soon here.
Ingredients:
1 & 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup Besan
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1-2 cups finely chopped methi leaves
1 tbsp cumin-coriander powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp Curd
1 tbsp Oil 1 tbsp sesame seeds
1/2 tsp carom seeds
Making The Dough:
1) Take wheat flour, besan, spices (turmeric, red chili powder), salt, sugar, baking soda, ginger paste, green chilies in a bowl. Mix well.
2) Add oil and lemon juice. Mix well by rubbing between your fingers and thumb.
3) Add methi leaves and mix.
4) Now add little water at a time and knead into a smooth and soft dough. Don’t make it too soft otherwise, it becomes too sticky.
5)roll the muthiyas in to small oval shape or roundels
6)Arrange the shaped methi muthia into the pre heated air fryer tray. Spray it lightly with cooking oil spray.
7) Air fry for 15-20 minutes at 300F. Halfway through open and give it a shake for even browning all the sides. This time may vary depending on the size of your muthiya.
