Pull a bullet out of a shell and shoot the shell without the bullet in the end and see how big of a difference it is! Sending that projectile is what gives most of the kick

I understand that, I'm just explaining to the guy above that the bullet being sent down range out of the gun is what gives most of the kick, not the air coming out! Just like in a real rifle if you take the bullet out and just shoot the shell, it will not have any kick because it's not trying to push a projectile out of the barrel!

Nice!! Yeah, air guns is what I think about 24/7... I tell ya, once your hooked, it grows on you. I also hunt/pest small game with air guns and it sure is satisfying! I mean, there are folks who go hunt with airguns out in Africa for big game!! A total game changer, excitement is guaranteed! I don't know if getting a hunting license involves the authorities testing your competence to handle the weapon and whether or not you can shoot properly....so forgive me....but please find an experienced hunter and go out with them many times before you even think of doing this ..

This was an excellent video, and I can somewhat understand Brittney's heartbreak at the thought of just wounding that magnificent animal. I got called out to a farm to try and track an injured Whitetail that some arse hat shot with a 22 magnum, the 'hunter' trespassed into the wooded area of the farm and did get arrested for the trespass and illegal hunting. I was able to find the buck the next day and helped butcher it for the farmer and his family. Thanks for being responsible enough to try to track the buck after the first attempt.

Umarex chose the right name for this rifle, since it hits hard like a Hammer. I believe it has the 2 round magazine for a follow up shot. Hopefully airguns like the Hammer will become legal to hunt large game with worldwide. Videos like this show the capability of large bore airguns.😸

It’s got a bit of a kick. There are some recoil-less air guns on the market. That 50 caliber slug is huge. I’m impressed. No powder just compressed air.

I was surprised myself. But considering physics and newton's law, the 300 plus grain projectiles would produce some moderate recoil on par with conventional large caliber rifles.

When she hit that buck There was only one safety issue. She walked up to that buck and didn't stop. Never walk Straight up to an animal that has been Shot. There's no telling if that buck is still alive. Hunters have been gored. All it takes is to wait a few minutes To be safe If in case a follow-up shot is needed..

First firearm to use a tubular magazine... Frankly, an excellent design, but difficult to build the pressure vessel (required brazing) and 1200+ pumps with a hand pump to pressurize each canister, good for +/- 30 shots.

it's a gun, it uses metal projectiles known as bullets... I do believe some companies make a kit to allow you to use it with arrows/darts... IDK why you would want to, the rifle costs more than a decent crossbow, and doesn't outperform them.

Can you tell me what bullet you used ? the grain weight and the bc . And what is the mv with that gun and bullet ? I'm figuring the fpe when the bullet hits the deer and just what it takes to kill a deer . So far I have a 330 grain .233 bc .457 cal bullet out of a texan ss at 740 fps mv at 60 yards it killed the deer with only 375.6 fpe at impact and dropped it .

I cant tell if that was a pass through or dirt kicked up from him bucking after being hit. Iam curious though to the "bullet" used and whom makes it. As well as some info/specs of the air rifle prior to the hunt would have been a nice bonus. One things for sure it's a far cry from the original big bore 50 cal dragon! 👍

I don't know what it is about hunting. Mostly for me it's been varmint wild pigs and coyotes but I'll miss one at 75 yards away from me! But then I'll hit one with moving it 210 or 350 yards and drop them flat with the 223 or 22-250! I think when they're close sometimes you get overconfident and then when they're far away you don't have time to think about it you just have to make the shot and that's when I make my greatest shots! Nice hunting and I'm ready to get into the air guns...
