I have both the MPX and the MCX first generation, and your videos are absolutely the best as far as the best experience of these weapons, I also have the crosman full auto AK1 , DSBR and A4P BB's yet the SIGS pellets are a whole nother game. The only one that can match personally for me is my MP7 A1 AEG, the accuracy on this thing is beyond fun, hope you can get your hands on of those! Awesome vid!!

bro stg my dad me this for christmas so, i opened didnt really pay attention to the design of the styrofoam, put it together and stuff and after I got done i panicked because i thought either i lost something or they forgot to put something in box because of the hole in the styrofoam below the barrel. watched this video to make sure it was jusdt a random hole.

I have tried many lead and lead-free pellets on my mcx with hpa, but the baracuda green are the ones that are completely superior to others in accuracy and velocity/power. There are almost no grooves in the pellet after they are fired, so I reckon that is one of the reasons why they work so well.

Oh man; its a BEAST!!! I love taking it out and shooting, i put a budget red dot, a fore-grip and a small torch with a touch pad taped onto the handle!!It feels amazing and shoots great! I would even think that it would work as home defense with the pointed pellets especially. The only issue is the gas. I would love to see someone make a way to have it loaded with the gas like the T4E quick puncture magazines can.. Then you just push the button (forward assist sounds perfect) and puncture the 90# tank!!! That would be awesome and if anyone can do that please let me know i want to have that im thinking of getting the T4E stuff

Nice review, got me thinking about purchasing a gen 2. I was disappointed with the older version of the MCX and MPX. I hope Sig addressed the problems with the older versions. I really like the option of the PCP tank, gives me some incentive now to check the gen 2 out.

The PCP kit actually gives less FPE than CO2. He was getting only about 3.7 FPE. With CO2 he should be getting a little above 4 FPE with the MCX. I had the same problem with my MPX. The kit gave less power than CO2. Plus, the regulator slowly leaks over time. I was not too impressed with the Air Venturi HPA adapter. I think the loss in power is due to the adapter that goes between the HPA bottle and the female connector on the Sig.

@@genuinetuffguy1854 I read that the higher regulator pressure (1100psi) makes the valve more difficult to open which effectively reduces the energy. I just bought a gen 2 mcx, and found a tank/regulator setup from Grimburg Less Lethal which has a 9ci tank and an 850psi Ninja regulator. I read the pressure in co2 bottles is about 800psi so in theory this setup should work better. The smaller tank also keeps the stock length reasonable unlike the air venturi kit sold by Pyramid Air which adds about 3 inches. I ordered it, yet to receive it and try it out.

@@genuinetuffguy1854 I received the Grimburg 9ci/Ninja kit today and installed it. I broke my gen 2 mcx and exchanged it for a rattler canebrake model. It seems to be better than the regular mcx. On the Rattler Canebrake the kit functions well, the length of pull is about 1” longer than the stock that comes with the gun and I get a couple hundred shots per fill. I don’t have a chronograph, but accuracy seems fine and the trigger functions better (I am guessing the CO2 froze the trigger internals). I’m considering getting a First Strike regulator which is about 3/4” shorter than the Ninja regulator, it would help with the length of pull.

An absolutely awesome gun, no doubt ! (I do have it in.22, the laws in my country request that any kind of sound moderators are illegal unless they are unremovably glued to the gun, so only fitted with the original device, it’s still pretty loud though). But the real downdraft of this still pretty expensive marvel is the trigger ! Nice and smooth, agree, but without a second stage and zero adjustability, it’s totally unpredictable and spoils a lot the pleasure of shooting it… Beside that, as always coming from Nate, an excellent review again !

Up the pressure at least on the HPA. I'm running my Virtus at 1450psi and it's up at 800+fps. I definitely want a gen2 MCX. Been keeping my old MCX as co2-only.

@@PM-432 I added shim washers into the Belleville washer stack within the regulator. I added a 0.5mm thick washer and then maybe a 0.10 and 0.5mm thick washers to the original stack. Went up to about that 100bar/1450psi range from the original on my Virtus' tank. Slight pressure changes may vary from tank to tank, depending on original pressure and belleville/spring stack within a regulator. A channel called Air Velocity Sport has a good video on how to work on a tank regulator, if you're not yet familiar to them tank regs. No matter if a Ninja, Air Venturi, or some other branded tank regulator, they're basically quite same in build principle.

The hand pump will be very hard work best to fill it from a compressor or divers tank but it'll pay off as it'll be much more consistent than CO2 plus more powerful.

Id like to know if theyve sorted out the reliability issues. Had my old mcx for a while untill it went full auto. Unloaded a mag in less than a couple of seconds , then packed up all together. Waited 6months. Never got it back from sig. The gun shop eventually gave me another one. Its still working.

What I can’t figure out is how you’re only getting 450 fps with a 3000 psi bottle on the back. Most other online testing done with the 90 g Sig air was reaching over 600 FPS. Manufacturer claim is 545 FPS.

The container is already long enough and with the buttstock with the wrong angle it will be even worse. Besides, it looks damn stupid too. A real "genius" whoever designed it. I have the same hpa kit on my mcx, but I have made a buttstock myself with an angle similar to the original. I have also replaced the adapter with one from best fittings which is a little shorter and with a little better air flow. I have only seen two other people on youtube who have also complained about the buttstock. It reminds me of the fairy tale emperor's new clothes.

I don’t really understand Sig on this one. The Sig Air Canbrake is 200-250 fps faster. I can’t see why they would have different internals.

The Canebrake seemingly is used with co2 in most reviews. This MCX"s Air Venturi airtank regulator needs to be set up a higher output pressure first. This review never showed or told us the regulated output pressure.. But I bet it is only around 1000-1100 - which is kinda low. I run 1450psi on my Virtus for 800fps.

At 7 Ftlb with CO2 I get the impression that the Canebrake is the ultimate version of the family. I really like the Virtus but have been put off by the issues with it and it is impossible to know what version I would be buying the U.K. interesting the Virtus has been removed from the Sig website too.

@@Kefuddle It somehow do seem that the Canebrake has performed the best recently. These gen2 MPX/MCXs somehow not as good - and I have no idea why. Of course, we do need more technical info on the gen2s now. No specific differences gotten out yet. I'd love to have them all for mechanical comparison - but due to lack of cash, that aint happening, for me at least. (Yea.. I'd just love to be a tech guy for Sig airguns..😁) Dunno. My Virtus worked well right from the start. UK citizens of course got modified Virtuses with spring(s) taken out, receiver screws changed for not to tamper with them - and seemingly a different airtank with seemingly a lower output pressure for an only about 7-9ftlbs power output. I love my old MCX and my Virtus. Wanted a Canebrake due it's upgrades - but now I want instead a gen2 MCX due to longer barrel and new upgrades. But I guess I'll receive more info before I get cash to get myself a new of either one.. The Virtus cost me over 500 - so I can well understand why many might be a bit shy of risking such an amount on a Sig Air product. ..Dunno. I at least still found the Virtus on the sigsauer.com website, listed along all other airrifles in the air rifle section - and still in stock..

These are a joke and junk! your video is kinda the same, you want a semi-auto there are much better rifles on the market!
