Great to see Gamo finally stepping up to the plate with a winner. I have a .177 coyote whisper fusion I picked up years ago and the rifle still shoots like a laser and it's unregulated. So Gamo can make a great product when they choose to! Great review 👍

Wow. I wandered upon the Gamo website this morning and saw this rifle. Looked impressive. Of course I turned to the Airgun Detective for the 311 ( information). Good review. No, great review. Immediately bought one from Gamo on sale for $250. what a deal. The wood stock on this rifle would not let me say no to it. Gamo website says there is a 5 year warranty on this rifle. thats their best warranty . Big plus. Second rifle I have bought on recommendation from the Detective. bought a Barra 1200G based on a review here, very happy with it. You are doing Gods work. Thanks for your in depth reviews and insights, instills confidence when making a buy.

Great show, as usual! The Irish opening was great, too. I admire Gamo's commitment to producung the lightest weight and most powerful sprinters on the market. Plus, JC's guns look Gamo-magnum-pumped, so the cocking must be a good bicep exercise, ha ha. They don't come cooler or more American than JC!

Super fun to plink with too. Buddy and I have had epic shootoffs with our Magnum 10x guns. We put up 2 sets of maybe 3 or 4 clays, a few cans, and 1 reactive target you shoot after all your targets are down. We get trash talking and cracking up. Awesome cheap fun racing to hit your targets first and them reactive target for an in-your-face-I-won finale. Not a bad arm workout after a couple hundred pellets either, not gonna lie. 🤣

Just got my Gamo Extreme Hunter today. everything the detective said is right on. I gotta say a couple things about it. One, its beautifully made. The blueing, the wood, the trigger, everything is perfect. The cocking of this rifle is a mother bear. It takes a big effort to push down that barrel and cock the gas piston. Im kinda stunned the barrel can take that stress. Perhaps as I shoot it more my finese will get better. or maybe not. i got it to shoot bullseyes with a new scope on it in 3 shots. This is a PREMIUM rifle, that requires more than the average amount of effort to cock. Its everything I could want in a magnum air rifle. Not a starter rifle for the cocking effort. Gamo, you went above and beyond with this monster. it hits like you are swinging a sledge hammer. just incredible.

I bought one about 2 years ago after seeing how accurate my Swarm Magnum Gen 2 was. Not that long ago everyone claimed you couldn't shoot a magnum springer accurately because the recoil and a pellets would loose accuracy once they started getting over 800 FPS. I've proved it wrong with other magnums but was a challenge. With this gun it was more like shooting a 15-16 FPE airgun as far as hold sensitivity.

Bought a Gamo Extreme Hunter Pro about two years ago, like your review I really like it. The Gamo BSA 3-9X40 AO not as much. Holds zero fine and optics okay, but the AO yardage scale came loose after about 400 shoots on a Gamo GR Magnum. Still useable but annoying, got as gift. I've since seen this as a complaint in some comment sections by buyers of it. Heard good things about Tasco air gun scopes, probably will try one of those next purchase. By the way, another excellent review.

Recently picked up the new Extreme 25 ( same stock ) . No pickle on the end which I prefer . Metal breech is a big plus . It comes with their usual lame scope . I'm using a UTG 3X12X44mm side focus with a one piece mount and blue thread locker on all screws . I have the original Hunter Extreme in .177 ( made in England ) with the bull barrel . Not much many rounds through my 25 yet and have only tried 2 pellets the JSB Exact Kings 25.39 and the H&N 20.06 grain . Kind of early to tell but so far it seems to like the H&N 's ? It took at least 1,000 rounds to break in my .177 before it settled in , but it has held zero since 2009 with a Leapers scope on board .

Unusual that the pellet hits where you want at 1000+ fps, usually pellets go awry att more than 920 fps. If you shoot at 1000+ fps at longer distance like 50 - 60 meters you will see the group opening up. Most pellets like 850 - 920 fps for a stable trajectory.

I have the similar 3i magnum, i can say from experience that i would advise anyone else who owns one to never use a variable magnification scope on it, so long as you care about that scope staying in working order. That gamo long magnum destroyed multiple variable mag scopes, and then i wised up a put a fixed mag 4x on it and that cured the problem of violent recoil breaking variable scopes. love that gun but i really have to bear down on it to get the accuracy i want out of it at longer ranges of 50+yd. of my 5 Gamo break barrels, the one absolute peach ironically is my old trusty Gen 1 Swarm maxxim. i have so many rounds through that thing its easily over 10000 shots by now and the accuracy and velocity stability on that rifle is a thing of beauty. then you have the swarm maxxim gen 2 that has been a nightmare for me -- im on my 3rd one from gamo and theyve all shot weird, unstable velocities, much less precision/accuracy than my gen 1, I love gamo but that gen 2 is a wacky one imo

I'd been wanting an air rifle for quite some time, and over the last several months I was looking into what's available. Finally, I came across this one and pulled the trigger. Everything I was looking for and more, but the classic, classy look of the stock is what really sold me (AND the magnificent sale price). So now I've got it, and I love it, though it's a beast to break. But I have a question that I feel like you're probably well qualified to answer: What scope would you recommend for this? The last time I bought scopes for air rifles was in the 90's for an old springer and a cheap pumper and it really didn't matter as long as they attached, but this thing is an entirely different animal. Also, thanks for the great videos! It was mostly stuff on this channel that helped me narrow down my choices and focus on the features I actually wanted. I was honestly overwhelmed when I finally started seriously digging in to see what's available and your approach to reviews and giving information was invaluable.

Greetings from South Africa. I loved this review and just wish the Hunter Pro was readily available here. Many .177's, .22's not so much. I love the classic, elegant styling of this rifle, WOW!. That said, I own one of the handful of extremely powerful gas ram .22's, namely the Artemis GR1600W, which I use exclusively for hunting geese, pheasants and ducks. This beasty shoots a healthy 44+ FPE using 18.13 gr pellets. Takedown power is unrivalled in my collection of rifles. I'm not sure if it's available in the Americas since it's a Chinese product. I use it with an AirBoss compact scope which, so far, has taken the insane recoil with ease. Thanks for your review, I'm definitely looking forward to it becoming available here.

Hey. Interesting comment and question you ask. Also have an Artemis GR1600, is in northern Europe. And although I have a lot of experience with magnum springers, it impresses with its power and solidity. And far cheaper than what the good quality would suggest. It is probably at least as powerful as the Gamo Extreme, and seeing that the cylinder on the Artemis also has an outer diameter of 33mm. Also sees that it is probably from a German manufacturer. I have also been surprised that so far there are no videos from the US about this. But know that the main importer is French. Normally such a rifle would be very popular in the US. @@markthompson4859 Well, I've now put about 600 rounds through it, and so far it shows no signs of deviations, weaknesses or faults. Pretty impressive. I make sure to only use heavy pellets. Also, I greased all moving struts and bolts with grease early on. Is important because they otherwise scratch and wear the metal contact. It generally seems quite solidly made. Certainly no Weihrauch or Air Arms, but still very promising in terms of power, solidity and accuracy. Probably think about this, as often else, that it could be a combined/collaborative project with German manufacturers. Incidentally, it is also understandable that the Americans want to protect their jobs, with certain restrictions on Chinese imports .. O.T. else if I can mention it: very sad to hear about how badly South African society has developed in recent years. Seems like most of your security has been taken away from you. Hope it gets better soon. Sincerely

@@hauk65000 thanks for yourconcerns. Elections soon. lets hope common sense prevails. I think the GR is knockoff of a German rifle. I cant find the link but its somewhere out there. I own several powerful airguns and all are always ready to go, as are my firearms. The bad guys know better than to try their luck on my property. Back to the GR. Ive got 5000+ through the barrel and Ive just serviced it again, the wooden stock takes some pounding but double-sided tape sorted that out (1mm) . The gamo recoil reducing rail helps a ton with the scope but you'll still be zeroing the scope every 20 shots or so. I use Ballistic predator copper pellets at 21gr for bigger game birds, but my go to's are the JSB 18.13 for normal hunting. Max hunting range is 80m for me. I'll need that beautiful FX Predator for longer range. One day, hehe

Who wants to have to box up, ship, then wait for someone else to fix it & send it back? 5yr warranty? Keep your warranty and sell me parts! Who makes these gas rams for Gamo?
@AirgunDetectives
@AirgunDetectives 9 ай бұрын
Ray, that really is not much of an issue. I have over 20 Gamo rifles and I have tuned a great majority. I have never had a gas ram fail (Knock on wood) The only issues you would ever have, for the most part, is the piston seal and the breech seal. There are many aftermarket seals out there. There are very few manufactures that have parts readily available, with the exception of Crosman/Benjamin, they are the best for that. I went with the 33mm igt magnum.22 instead.. pretty sure it's the same powerplant..it was all lollipops and roses until the nitro piston lost pressure..I broke the rifle down on my bench and called gamo for the parts I needed..I needed a piston seal and the nitro piston ram..they told me they don't sell ANY parts to maintain or repair the products they sell..😂..what trash...I want you to know that I put it a new rifle in the trashcan.... I bought a pcp rifle and a Yong heng compressor to fill my rifle from China....my Chinese compressor started acting up a little bit and wasn't building pressure as fast as it once did..I contacted yong heng company in Guangdong China and told them about my problem AND THEY RUSH DELIVERED ME A PISTON KIT AND O-RING SEAL KIT TO REBUILD THE COMPRESSOR..ALL THE WAY FROM CHINA TO MY FRONT DOOR IN 4 DAYS...NOW THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE...I would never buy a Gamo product again..Gamo could learn a lot from the Chinese... edit.. Yong heng sent the piston kit/seal kit at NO CHARGE...are you paying attention Gamo?
