I'm a proud owner of one of these and I gotta say its very well made. My only complaint is that I'd like to see it have a bit more velocity, but overall it's a great airpistol. George, welcome! I appreciate you watching and thank you for leaving comments. The blowback takes away a bit from the velocity. But, they are still the most authentic 1911 sttles. I will show you a couple of custom mods I did that increased the velocity in a future 1911 video. Happy Shooting 👍

Thanks for your reviews; I always look forward to your postings! I have the Remington version of this 1911. It's a nice shooter and very realistic. Being a mil-spec copy, the sights are sort of marginal, but a bit of nail polish on the front helps a lot.

Thanks for sharing this review JC! Having worked in manufacturing and marketing for a long time. It makes me wonder if there was a disconnect or a lack of communication with the OEM about the barrel length. By the time it went into production it probably would have cost too much to retool after they discovered it. Here's a question, what happends to KWC if China invades Taiwan? No more replica guns temporarily? forever? who knows......

This was my first 1911 co2 pistol. Very nice but it once again reveals how Umarex doesn’t take advantage of the Colt name, and falls short in their US offerings. First it would be nice to have a true Series 70 4 1/4 inch barrel Commander. This pistol is more of the Combat Government version. They also should offer a true Series 70 Government version as is offered in Europe., and a target sighted Colt Gold Cup. My favorites are two limited versions. The Combat Vet and the WW2 Commemorative. There is certainly a market for a WW2 parkerized Colt 1911A1 as a regular offering. Nice shooting with your Commander.

As you know I'm a huge 1911 fan. It would be nice if they offered this as a pellet gun. I like that it's field stripable. On another note: I know you've used a lot of different optics. Do you think it would be ok for me to use a Firefield Tactical 3-12x40 AO IR scope on a break barrel? I only want an inexpensive optic with an adjustable objective for this rifle.

It really depends on the breakbarrel rifle and how heavy the recoil is. I have destroyed almost every model and style of scope with various breakbarrel rifles. That being said, I have had a few scopes surprise me and hold up. This was both expensive and inexpensive models. The less harsh the recoil the better chance the scope survives. For $80.00 I would try it.

Hi JC, great video once more. Does the mag for this gun have a locking spring follower ? I've got a few pistols that don't and I just wind up not using them as much due to the lack of unbroken nails. Anyway, no follower lock and the fact that it doesn't have an adjustable rear sight are deal breakers for me. I was surprised by this one's accuracy, but these guns are made quickly so the next one may not shoot straight. If you don't have a rail, you've got a brick. Thanks' again :-)

Same mag as the others, the spring follower does lock open. These, like the other KWC foundation, are by far the most realistic 1911's. Happy Shooting 👍

Hey JC. Thank you for this review I have been looking into an air pistol for fun, and the one I want is a Walter that’s almost 300 dollars lol. This looks very high quality. Consistent too. Off subject but... I want to purchase your trigger screw for the Gamo Urban. My question is, is all I have to do is take the stock screw out and put your screw in? Or is more required to install it? I know it might seem like a dumb question but, sometimes taking a screw out can loosen other things you do not want loose. Thank you again JC!

I know I could probably (eventually) find this through Google, but is the list of KWC guns you gave us the full or at least nearly the full list? I'm a terrible Googler, so I thought I'd ask. I'm looking to buy a 1911 replica to practice and plink, and I want what seems to be the best platform. If this is the best plaform, it then comes down (I think) to esthetics. In that case, I'd love to know all my options. Do you have a favorite stock KWC? I ask about stock because frankly I'm not very handy, myself, so I don't want to count on being able to customize.

Man I've seen other people review this gun and their accuracy tests at 30 feet are horrible, then I watch this and realize they all just can't shoot haha. Definitely gonna order this gun mostly for the fun factor, because that thing looks like a lot of fun.

Russel, Not on this one....Just pick up a Barra 1911 they have the front rail mount. It is the same foundation but then you have accessory options.

Completely different gun. Look at the difference in the magazines. CQBP is a partial blowback. 😉
