I had one of these old guns my dad passed down to me. It unfortunately met its end and a truck fire years ago. I bought a new one however and it's just as much fun as the old one! Although doesn't have the to click knob on the back just a bolt small differences but basically the same gun. What a joy to shoot!

Crosman 1377 oil : use hydraulic jack oil found at auto parts stores - it's 10wt, non detergent and formulated to work safely with seals. About $3.50 for a lifetime supply.

I had the original American classic 1377 with "no brass bolt," mine had just the round 2 click breach /cocking mechanism that ya pulled from the rear of the pistol. Years later they added the bolt which snaps off quite easily if dropped on hard surface

The 1377c and PC77 are the same Crosman Gun. The 1377c has brown grips while the PC77 is solid black. I have 2 black ones and I added the 1399 shoulder stock and they became carbines!

I've had my Classic since 1984 and it just stopped working two weeks ago. I picked up a new PC77 and I really like the bolt action style, everything else is identical except for the black forearm and grip.

I love my Crosman 1377. i use it for pest control, as I have a problem with pigeons at home. My review; I found that the pin holding the pump handle loosens up with time--they don't make them like they used to. You will need to replace the pin once or twice. It helps to hold the top of the pistol when pumping. Recommend not holing the hand grip when pumping, this places the gun at a slight angle as you're pumping and placing excess force on the pin. The pin gets loose, the plastic sight will be off, leading to many missed shots until you notice the problem. Recommend replace the pin or the plastic sight. Parts for the Crosman 1377 do not come cheap; some parts may be more expensive than the gun itself.
@joshpod0072 жыл бұрын
I find it worth it though. I'm still not done upgrading mine but it gives you a good platform to have endless upgrades. Basically it's just worth whatever you end up putting into it.

It's almost hard to believe there hasn't been a 13xx review here yet. The two best mods for it are two stage kits and the steel breach, with those you get a hair more fps, a scope mount, and far more accurate trigger pull.

Just think, in 06 this time of year, southern Iraq at midnight it was 110f. And 130-145f in the shade during the day. We "Worked" outside for our 16 hour shift, but some days we were on the job for 36 hours. Now, it was only 90f with the AC on full blast day and night in my sleeping box. I will say that 125f and above, "Hot is Hot" Here in MI. it has been very cool this year, mostly in the 70's, normally we see 85-90. Hang in there Rick, and maybe do some night shooting.

Always wanted one. frustrating gun at first. shoots good, good groups with 3 differetn pellets/weights. Rear sight adjustable....ya right. The Sights suck...shoot way to high no matter what. There are many sites/comments on this issue. I got an adjustable back sight and steel breech, still shoots too high. had to make the front blade higher or go with red dot or scope in general. Still working it out

Actually my 1377 when it was stock of shot faster with 11 pumps than 10 with my red chrony. But I do not advise it even though it will not hurt it.
@dwightsteinmetz377211 жыл бұрын
I think the key words here are 'cheap' and 'fun'. Crosman continues to build air guns with solid value, but the target groupings are proof that you get what you pay for. If I want 'fun', I'll reach for the Crosman. If I want 'accuracy', I'll pick up my RWS Diana Model 5.

I'm thinking on buying an air rifle for hunting rabbits. I need accuracy and power, I can't decide which rifle is better because I walk long distances when I'm hunting so a pcp is not an option because I tend to shoot a lot. Which rifle do you think is a good option? I was thinking on a beeman r9 or an rws 350 magnum or the hatsan sniper 125.

How does this compare with the Benjamin Trail NP? Specifically with regards to durability and accuracy. I'm looking for something for a bug out bag / survival themed kit. Light weight, accurate and powerful enough, hypothetically, take very small game (doves, mice, frogs) and with good shot placement*, larger small game like squirrels, rabbits. The main trade offs I see are more time between shots with the 1377; It does appear to have a fairly longer barrel though and maybe a more durable power source? Or, if anyone knows of a solid .177 pellet rifle under 4 lbs that shoots between 600-1000 fps for under $65, that would fit the bill as well.
@crabtrap8 жыл бұрын
get a springer rifle. the Ben trail is a springer pistol i believe too. springer action guns are way more durable and reliable in the situations u are looking at.

I have a problem, my 1322's action and barrel wiggle a lot. I usually carry it on my hip as my secondary out squirrel hunting, so I need it to be reliable enough. I just got it at the beginning of the year too, so it's not very old or beat up.
@AirGunWeb8 жыл бұрын
You should be able to tighten that up fairly easily. Get with Crosman for help. Cheers AGW
go on ebay and search up a 1377/2240 barrel support its a liner that sits between the barrel and pump/co2 tube and locks the barrel in place. you are always gonna have some barrel side to side play with the crappy stock breech... if you want to totally stop all barrel movement, get a steel breech, and a 3D printed barrel support from Alchemy AirWerks, and then you will have a LOCKED IN dead tight barrel an massively increase the overall accuracy capability of the gun.
