I flew Air Lanka Lockheed Tristar from Dhahran - Colombo in 1993. Was my first and last flight with Air Lanka.

It’s Lockheed Tristan 1011 showing from 00.31.. I had a chance to travel in Airlanka Lockheed Tristan flights early 90’s. Great way to fly. Glad to see live seen of those great planes.

I flew by air Lanka tristar to Japan in 1999 June., I came back by Airbus A 320 to Sri Lanka operated by Sri Lankan air line maintained by Emirates...

Technically I never had the chance to fly Air Lanka, as it was then. I only flew with them once they'd become SriLankan. But my very first flight (of many) with them was LHR-CMB in an A340 still in Air Lanka colours with the old interior - no PTVs but more legroom, and the flight was half-empty. I preferred them. They aren't good now.
