The drummer on this is the legendary Jim Gordon, one of the most recorded drummers in music history. The list of hits he played on is longer than you can imagine. And also one of the most tragic stories; he eventually developed schizophrenia and ultimately murdered his mother during a schizophrenic breakdown. Spent the rest of his life in prison, and just passed away last week.

I've always loved Skunk Baxter's guitar solo in this tune. It's simple but absolutely smooth and evocative. Jeff Baxter (Skunk) later played with the Doobie Brothers. As you continue on your journey, you'll find tons of variability in the tunes Steely created.

The Drummer is/was the great Jim Gordon, who passed just last week, in prison. Jim played with just about everyone, and on so many hit records. Regarded as one of the greatest, and busiest session drummers of all time..Unfortunately, Jim was diagnosed schizophrenic, and was hearing voices in his head that he interpreted as for him to kill his mother, which he did, with a hammer and a knife, back in 1983...He was Derek and the Dominoe's drummer, but the bulk of his work was in the studio for so many other artists...You can see him behind the kit with Jackson Browne's "Get The load out/Stay" which Browne only did live, in honor of his roadies. Gordon was a member of the famed, "Wrecking Crew" session players, during the 60's, along with Glen Campbell and Leon Russell, among others...RIP, Jim.
