Bose is much cheaper and much more comfortable to wear. These headphones caress and comfort the wearer. However, it depends on how you plan to use the headphones; and what type of music you prefer. Bose is great for classical, very subtle and nuanced sounds, jazz, light rock, classic rock, piano, guitar, atmospheric, spa, oldies--not for bass and heavy metal. Bose is great for news, media, and communication. The sports world often uses Bose. People love Bose. However, the best sounding headphones are the plug in studio ones made in Germany and Italy that are preferred by the most discerning audiophiles. Then again, it depends on your preference. Apple AirPodMax are cool looking and great headphones. However, the headband does not provide the cushioning and comfort of other headphones that are less expensive. The heavy steel rather than titanium makes these headphones uncomfortable and can cause headaches. The cheap looking headband that looks worse over time has no cushioning. For a hefty $500 dollars, Apple could have done better in terms of user comfort.

Best headset I’ve ever owned. Love it. I didn’t even know some of the stuff like the battery widget and the live listen feature. Thats pretty cool for if you leave a meeting to go to the bathroom or something but don’t wanna miss anything. Pretty dope.

Would return them. 470 (usual price now) or 550 (scam) for a 4 year old device is so bad. The materials are premium, but they are heavy. For teens or people with small heads, this hurts your head with the clamping force, which nobody in these videos talk about. The noise cancellation and transparency mode (I've tried both airpods max and airpods pro 2) for the newest airpods pro 2 and old airpods max are bascially the same. Airpods Max slip off easily, so not good for working out, and they arent sweat, dust, or water resistant. Condensation is a huge issue. Airpods pro 2, have adaptive audio, h2 chip, and newer features and will still be updated. There is still reason to buy airpods max, but save the money, return them, and buy airpods pro 2 or something better worth the money. Your choice.

I was a Bose guy for a long time. I got really annoyed with some in ear Bose plugs I had a few years back though. I had Android phone watch combo with those plugs and music would switch back and forth from headphones to the watch randomly it was really dumb. I switched to ask Apple stuff and I’ll never go back. Everything is so seamless, and the headphones are way better than my Bose ones were. Just got these max ones and they are super comfy and sound fantastic. Noise cancelling is amazing on these.

Unfortunately no. It has to be the Apple cable. Apparently it has an Analog to digital converter in it that converts the analog signal coming from 3.5mm to the digital signal that APM can understand. This then again gets converted to analog signal by the DAC inside the headphones. Really stupid design choice by Apple. My Sony XM4 can straight up be connected to a 3.5mm port without even having to power them on. But I had to buy a 40$ cable from Apple so that I can use my APM with my PS5. The Apple cable is also flimsy as shit so make sure you take good care of it.

Ok y'all I was debating on AirPods Max and the Sony xm5 and I decided on the AirPods Max for a couple reasons. 1. Im an apple guy, most of my devices are apple 2. I like the sleeker look and I heard is was a lot more comfortable which I agree 3. I actually prefer the metal feel 4. I liked the color choices and I already had a blue iPad Air so I got the blue AirPods Max Tips I learned: GET APPLE MUSIC TO GET FULL EXPERIENCE! They are the same price so just make the switch bc it has better audio for the AirPods Max Make sure the right and left cups are on the correct ear If able to, turn all audio settings on Apple Music in settings to high res. Dolby Atmos/ lossless audio
