AirPods or AirPods Pro not resetting? 7 ways to fix them.
Hopefully this helps, in this video I have included all the useful comments people have added to my own video which already worked. but these extra tips mean that you’ve got more chance of reviving your AirPods or AirPods pro.
Cleaning the inside of your case, specifically the terminals.
Cleaning the tips.
Isopropyl may do a better job.
Pushing down on the AirPods into the case while you hold the button.
Clearing the lightning port on your iPad case.
Giving your case a full or significant charge before attempting to pair.
Repeatedly pushing the button or holding while you push down on your AirPods in the case.
Borrowing an a AirPod from a friend or asking nicely in the Apple store if they will let you pair with one Instore.
AirPods only reset in pairs. One is better than none.

Thanks for your video. Your ideas made me try another thing. Reset with 15sec holding, then removing the troublesome AirPod Pro from the case while the pairing happens. Did the trick for me.

I just found another TIP that worked for me. Letting the case discharge fully and then put it on a wired charge. As soon as it hit 1% I tested the sound on the 1 headphone that didn’t play and it worked.

READ THIS: I have AirPods Pro and my case was fine it was just the pods it’s self and it wouldn’t work whenever I opened the case it would just flash white... the ‘push them down’ method worked! So basically push your AirPods down firmly and hold the back button for at least 15 seconds then it should start flashing orange or green depending how much charge you have! Then close the case and re-open it and hold the back button again for 10 seconds or more without pushing them down and it should pop on your phone to connect. This is exactly what I did!!! Credits to this guy though

if your case is stuck blinking red!! Press and hold with ONE AirPod (I used my replacement pod that I knew needed the firmware update) in the open case then follow the instructions below, worked for me 1) Listen to music or other audio content with the ONE connected AirPod for at least 30 seconds. 2) Put BOTH AirPods in the charging case and close the lid. 3) Use the Lightning cable to connect the charging case to power. 4) Wait 30 minutes. Then reconnect the AirPods to the iOS device that they are paired to. 5) Check the firmware version again. Go to Settings > General > About > AirPods. My issue was that they would not couple as they had different firmware installed, and apple does not allow you to manually apply the firmware updates. This forces both AirPods to update and allows for easy coupling and then pairing the second time around.

@@juanpa_rdech1143 Unfortunately no, I had to buy a new pair.. For that reason I'd never recommend anyone to buy pieces separately. Apple stores were just as clueless as I was, showing me the same google searches I'd done. I remember perfectly cause it was a shit show... So no success, at least on my part. Good luck to you anyways, and if only, try buying a whole set. Or change them to Xiaomi as I did and stop having problems with expensive gadgets having illogical issues that force you to buy a completely new set...

Hello, I had a problem with one airpod, so I tried to reset them several times. The case was just showing a solid white light all the time only while pushing the button, so it was stuck during the reset. Tried cleaning, pushing down and everything - nothing helped. What I did - just pushed the button for a minute or so till it showed an orange light (I guess they completely reset). After that everything worked fine.

Hi can someone help, when pressing down the light still remains white and doesn’t change to yellow. Before my iPhone used to show the large screen when the AirPods were connected and showed the battery life on both things now it’s not even doing that. So I don’t know what battery percentage my AirPods are on. Only my right AirPod connects and I’ve tried everything nothing is working

I made it to 4:00. I did all the things it said and didn’t work. Just decided to press and hold the button and knock on the case. Issue with mine was it would just blink yellow which meant there was a sync issue, when I disconnected and tried to repair it just had a steady white light, was like it for a few hours, then knocked on the case while holding the button, started flashing orange and then flashing white, now it works. The last thing I did before the knocking was the pressing the button 12-13 times. Not sure if that fixed it or me knocking on it but it pairs now. Thanks

Left AirPod was not working, and wasn’t able to reset the AirPods. After pushing down the AirPods and holding the reset button, like shown in the video, I was able to reset my AirPods and got my left AirPod working again! Thanks!!

Cleaning the inside contacts and the airpod ends with isopropylic alcohol solved my one airpod not connecting issue. Even if the case was sensing the discharged airpod when inserted, it was not charging it properly. Immediately after cleaning, it showed amber and started charging it.

None of these worked. BUT if u have the issue I have where it wouldn’t pair nor reset. (Amber light won’t stop blinking) make sure you “forget AirPod” from your iphone. Then put both AirPods in the case and let it sit for 30 mins to a hour while charging. After 30 mins as soon as u open the case hold down the pair button on the case and you will notice the light will be green for a second and then turn white to begin pairing. If you don’t do it fast enough it will go back to blinking amber non stop. Don’t worry. Just let it sit again for 30 mins and try again. Good luck.

As everyone else said, pushing down on the AirPods is what finally did the trick, cleaning with alcohol and qtip did nothing, I clicked a million times, still nothing, pushing down on the AirPods (my right one was the one not working) while holding the reset button fixed it!!!

Found a brand new trick to fix them.. If your AirPods won’t reset in your case , put them in someone else’s, that has AirPods, case. Reset them while they’re in the other persons case, then put them back in yours and connect them to your phone.. this worked for me so hopefully it works for someone else 🤷🏿‍♂️

I left mine in my jeans and then they went through the wash, When I took them out the light on the case was green, the AirPods themselves didn't work very well they were very tinny and quiet, but they have sorted themselves out now, however, I thought I would you some electric contact cleaner on the case and as soon as I did that the green light went out and it wont come back on. It seems to charge ok when I plug it into my computer but as soon as I take it off the light goes out straight away. any ideas?
