I was totally blown away by the new AirPods Pro, I’m really surprised by the reviewers who state the the noise cancelation is almost similar to the originals. The NC is SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER, you have to experience it yourself, low frequency noises are totally suppressed. I also haven’t noticed the slight dizziness you usually get with classic ANC earbuds including the OGs. Sound quality is fantastic for what they are, in addition to all the other features. For me they are DEFINITELY worth the upgrade if you can afford them.

I had to drive a car without a muffler for the last couple of days before I could get a new one fitted, the APP2 totally eliminated the exceptionally loud and harsh engine noise

I'm not blown away from ANC but I'm with transperancy mode they also block very loud sounds. I wish I could controle max DB.

They’re worth it in every way! I got the original pros on launch day in 2019 and I was blown away because that was my first pair of in ear earphones with ANC, but I had a lot of problems with them, sound wise and had to get a lot of replacements. But i didnt care because the sound quality and the practicality of them was so good. So now with the 2nd these excel in the areas the go pros didn’t. ANC really is better and so is transparency. It’s also so convenient that i can charge with my Apple Watch charger and the precision finding feature is game changing!!

I've had the original Pros for a while. I just got the Pros 2 a couple of days ago and they really are better. The ANC sure seems better, and Transparency is definitely better. I didn't like it before and now I do. Mostly I listen to podcasts, but the sound quality is much improved. Very happy with my purchase.

Yep. I had my doubts but have been pleasantly impressed with the new ones. Cant put my finger on it, but they sound better in small ways, but it all adds up to a nicer experience.

they have completely new drivers and new chip and AMP as well so the bass hits a lot harder and theres more clarity :)

Besides improvements on the two modes, the adjusting volume feature really somehow surprises me … at first I found it super damn hard to do it, thought it was broken too😅 then like one or two days later it turns out the feature works perfectl… I’m not sure it’s me getting used to it or what, but I really feel like it’s accommodating my using habits

Can’t wait to try these out. I’ve been using the Airpods 3 for a while now and have been very impressed with it so far. However, I do miss the NC the Pros brought to the table but my experience wasn’t that good back then. Had the crackling and static issues which was a major letdown.

@@JSLReview They are very good. I find the ANC better than the OG pros and the sound quality has improved considerably. At least to my old ears. Love that we can now adjust the volume but I’d love to be able to choose the increments for adjustment. Spatial audio seems to be improved too. I preferred my Liberty 3 Pros over the original AirPod Pros when it came to ANC but the Gen 2 have really done a great job on that front.

I’d definitely say they are worth the upgrade. I wasn’t expecting that much honestly. But there is a big difference betweeen the two. NC, bass, batter life, volume control.

Purchasing the AirPods Pro 1 a few years ago was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Apple just continued to push out major new features to them even to this day, with personal spatial audio being available for gen 1, Find My network integrated as good as they could with the 2019 hardware and of course spatial audio itself. I'll probably go pick gen 2 up in a few weeks because of all the great reviews and mainly for the improvements of ANC and sound quality :)

Wasn’t expecting to get these. jarring to have to update to IOS 16.1 , but after that small pain glad I got them. Love the tracking feature. Unfortunately have lost a few pairs of these over time.

Thanks for the review. I received mine a few days ago and have been amazed at how good earbuds could be, especially with noise cancellation and spatial audio. Biggest drawback is that while the left one fits perfectly, for some reason my right ear doesn’t quite match the fit. Will probably be ordering some ‘Comply Foam Tips 2.0 for AirPods Pro’. Glad not to be lugging my ooold Sony MDR-1000Xs around anymore! Amazed at how much things have progressed since 2017.

@@jeffharder8706 yeah I’ve tried them all. It’s more the shape of the hard plastic body, so tbh I’m not too hopeful about the Comply ones but it seems worth a try. It sucks because on the left it’s absolutely perfect and I had no idea my ears were different from each other. Dang!

The ability to charge with the AppleWatch charger is surprisingly underrated. With this, 3 in 1 wireless chargers are kind of redundant, and the MagSafe duo elevates from being good to being extremely useful!

I love my originals, but they’ve been so annoying the last year with the case recognizing the pods. no matter what i’ve tried i still have issues with the case charging them. can’t wait for my airpod pros 2 to arrive !

My Pro 2s arrive tomorrow, and I'm really looking forward to improved sound quality. To me, everything else is second to that, as music in an already quiet office is what I'll use them for the most. I did enjoy my original Pros, but the sound on them was "meh" at best.

I am happy everything has big improvement in noise cancellation and sound quality. However, connectivity issues especially when you are using MacBook and iPhone. It still does not switch seamlessly. Moreover, the connectivity on iPhone is more problematic than before. It just doesn't want to connect sometime to iPhone and you need to remove and put it back a few times to make it work (on this its worst than my older Airpods Pro 1st gen).

For TWS, went from Momax to Soundcore to Beats to Airpods to Sony to Airpods Pro… super happy w/ the airpods pro… have had the pro for 1.5 yrs and its by far the best TWS earbuds I have ever used and my go to device. Even ditched headphones for flights and just relied on the pro’s ANC… So my question is, will the Pro 2 be significantly better? Is the soundstage the same as the pro or different? Still getting around 4 hrs on a charge. My thinking is when it gets down to 3 hrs, maybe time for the upgrade… but I am curious what the Pro 2 has. heard a rumour that the next firmware update for the Pro will give it Pro 2 features, how true is this?

Has anyone noticed that if you are watching a video on your iPhone and walk around it the AirPods know and change the sound from the left and right earbuds, it makes it sound like your phone is just playing through the speaker but surround sound and is super trippy. This is my first AirPods so I’m not sure if it is just a 2 thing but it is wild and also the noise canceling is crazy good, I was cleaning and accidental left on my garbage disposal cause I forgot it was one, I finally felt the vibration and was like oh yeah

Ngl apple does everything the best, I’ve been watching the consumer electronics game for a while, and they may be slow to adopt new features. But when they do, they do it better that every other company, take ANC, or transparency mode for example, it’s the best in class. They are blowing the competition away with how good their features are. I’m beyond impressed by the OG AirPods Pro. I can’t wait to get my hands on the 2nd gen AirPods Pro. Props for giving us the earbuds we all wanted

The battery on my pods pro after 3 years has definitely declined so I got the pro 2s and boy what a difference. The ANC is incredible and the bass and sound is a big Improvement. Heavy user here and the battery life is great. Definitely worth it to me. 👍

I bought a pair and I’m not sure if it’s just me or if my AirPods are faulty, sometimes the music lags a bit, my AirPods seem to disconnect randomly, KZbin videos are seriously laggy/glitchy and when I’m screen recording the sound after switching the audio to my phone sounds like white noise. It’s getting annoying I’m not sure if I should go to the Apple Store about it or if it’s my phone acting up since it’s become real slow after updating to iOS 16😩

I was genuinely hoping the new AirPod pros would be as amazing as most reviewers have been claiming but quite frankly, I feel it’s a bit overrated from an ANC upgrade perspective. The positives for me is that it can be charged using an Apple Watch charger and that it sounds a bit more crisp and louder than the original AirPod pros. The Bose QC earbuds ii on the other hand have a much better ANC performance and base but lack some other features such as wireless charging

Sounds like you simply need to change earbud size. The ANC in apples Airpods are for me way ahead of anything else. Try the biggest earbud, that one, surprisingly for me fit well and helped ANC to block out everything.
