I’ve noticed a significant increase in overall quality with the active noise cancellation on my AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C. It is essentially perfect now. Hopefully Apple doesn’t make any more changes to it.

If you change location to United States and (obviously) choose English you are a step closer. The final part of the trifecta is having a US Bank Card (💳credit or debit) to store/use in your Apple Account. I did this and live in Germany at the moment and it works - not only do I have the "hearing aid" feature but also Apple Intelligence. Good Luck!

I would think that the hearing aid feature will not be available here in the UK until it’s given regulatory approval. It was the same with the fall detection. We didn’t get it in the UK until approval was given.

Using my new Airpods Pro 2, I have a very annoying problem. Switching using them with my Macbook and iPad, several times they have disappeared from bluetooth from all devices, forcing me to reset them to and connect all over.

One thing I’m personally noticing is that it’s much quicker to react to loud noises in adaptive mode. So when I’d wash dishes and clatter some plates, it would react but not as fast. Now, it’s like within half a second of me clattering dishes that the noise is muted AND the volume increases!

My AirPods Pro 2 updated by me opening the AirPods case, closing the case, and leaving it on my Apple Watch charger while watching KZbin videos on my phone. They update pretty fast.

I pre ordered the 1st generation of Airpod pros back in 2019, it was the most frustrating experience I've had with an apple product in the many years I've been in the apple ecosystem. I recently picked up a pair of the 2nd gen pros after learning the 3rd gens were delayed to 2025, the 2nd gen pros are the best experience I've ever had with an apple product. Hoping they can improve even more on the 3rd generation.

I’ve noticed Conversation Awareness has been getting better for a few updates. It seems to more reliably understand when a conversation is done compared to before when it would just alternate between ANC and Transparency wildly throughout my conversations as soon as i stopped talking.

After upgrading to 7B19, the right bud of my AirPods Pro Gen 2 started experiencing issues. Over the past three weeks, its battery progressively weakened, eventually stopping charging altogether. I’ve only had this pair for under three months.

Go to the AirPods settings in settings, just under your name. Then scroll down and turn on " Off Listening Mode". Done.

I noticed with the head gestures it makes a tick noise each time you change your head direction so you know it’s picking up your head movement.

This update fixed my AirPods Pro 2 audio issues. I was having terrible glitchy audio and noticeably poorer bluetooth range which was some of the worst experience I've had with AirPods lately.

After a few days of use the ANC is definitely way better. Higher frequency sounds are SO MUCH more reduced. Cars passing by, talking, being inside a bus, typing, are all way less audible. I was at the point where i’d still hear a fan on low in a quiet room before the last update. Lower frequencies have been well cancelled since their release though. Makes me wonder why it wasn’t consistently always this way but i’ll take it.

By the time I learned of this earlier today, I found my AirPod Pro 2s were already updated. That has never happened before, so that was a pleasant surprise! I have not noticed any changes, but will check on that.

Same mine updated throughout the workday which is rare. I’ve noticed overall Conversation Awareness has been getting better over the last few updates. Though i had connectivity issues with Apple TV so hopefully this fixes that!

@@fredo.idikwu3378 The same way it gets done on purpose. They are my usual AirPods, so they are normally paired with my phone (for calls or music). When I put them in the case, they go on the charger and the phone is nearby.

Am I the only one experiencing lower volume and bass with my APP2 usbc version? Tried everything in the book. Even was able to finesse a brand new set thru apple care+ and they still seem significantly quieter at full volume than when I first got them a year ago. And of course this also affects the anc quality. Extremely frustrating because I like to listen to my music loud! If this is what im stuck with i’ll be looking at other brands.

Noise cancellation still isn’t as effective as it used to be with my Pro 2, I sometimes don’t think it’s turned on. My old Jabra earbuds are now better. I’ve cleaned etc. my Pro 2 without improvement.

I had got my pros the day hearing protection. And hearing aid was released. My only really issue was auto switching from my watch to my phone(I listen to my audible thru my watch ultra 2). With this update I was getting poor sound quality from KZbin only but after a hard rest sound is great. The biggest thing I noticed was ANC blocked more sound and adaptive might be bit more better as well.

My Airpod Pro 2's noise cancelling is useless now! I can hear clearly what people around me are saying, when im in a cafe. It happened after upgrading to IOS 18.1 I think, or the firmware. Its basically useless. I bought these airpods for the amazing noise cancelling. At least 50% worse. Why? They have rendered my product useless. How can this be legal?

I get a weird ascending 3 note chime twice after an update(assuming after an update) from my earbuds in the case. It only happens once in a while. Anyone else hearing this? Its really hard to pinpoint as reproduction is not possible, but its definitely from either iphone, watch, airpods pro 2, or maybe an AirTag.

Honestly, since I’m using iOS 18 betas, I can’t tell the difference between transparency/adaptive/noise cancellation AT ALL! I miss noise cancellation, but at least the sound quality and filtering the background noise while I’m on phone calls works fine. I’m okay.

Very disappointed, before I bought my pro2s I asked at the Apple Store to verify it would get the hearing test and aid function and they said yup in the fall….. well apparently that was misinformation, it’s not available in Canada 😢

Iv updated to 7B21 and it’s got sound drift iv done full resets every time I use them and still can’t get rid of it. Had them changed with Apple and the new ones are the same. I did have one issue where when I had a phone call or made a phone call. Sometimes the phone call would not sound very clear coming in or going out to the next person.

Someone please address the issue where custom transparency settings keep turning off constantly, and you have to go back into headphone accommodations and turn on custom transparency again. I utilize the hell out of turning up the amplification of transparency mode all the way up with what I do at work so I can hear people better and listen to music and it seems to always turn off and you’ll always have to go back in and fix it. It’s been going on for two updates nowand there is a whole Reddit group complaining about this.

@@GutRegeneration To update your AirPods, follow these steps: 1. Connect the AirPods to your phone and play music for 10-20 seconds. 2. Place the AirPods back in the charging case. 3. Put both the AirPods (inside the case) and your phone on charge. The update should install automatically within 20-30 minutes. Leave the devices undisturbed for a while.

Thanks for the video. Head gestures weren't working for me (7B21, 18.2 beta 3), so I unpaired them, restarted my iPhone, and paired them again, and then it worked.

I am moving to the USA where it is available, how would I get it added to my phone? I still use my AirPods Gen 3 and since new I have problem. I change the hang up option to one click and everytime it reset to its default which is two clicks… very annoying.
