@@adamjr871 that is because its very very bad optimized for modern machines, where it doesnt know what to do to extra cores and fast clocks. The engine its running is VERY old, which cant handle new machines. While the new flight simulator is optimized and made for modern hardware and will be much more optimized.

ZeloticMemes Nah there’s still significant room for improvement in the coming years. The game is gorgeous and the lighting system is immaculate, but up close things look pretty bad sometimes. Don’t get me wrong when you’re high up in the air the game is borderline photorealistic, but there’s still more to be done in the future.

Yes, but I know so far that my PC fits the minimum spec, and for the recommended spec I only need to update the CPU, however I doubt I'll be able to reach the ideal specs for the sim

That is what better quality satellite images do for you, the team has algorithms to interpret the images and build the airport. They are paying special attention only to iconic or important airports, JFK, LAX, etc.

Had fsx since it came out. Just turned 18, about to start flight school in 6 weeks, do the real thing. Fsx shaped my life, gave me a dream. So thankful to have the 32 bit sim, even if OOMs were more common than turbulence. :)

Now THIS is a true comparison video. There is no bias or spin. It is a comparison between the older sim and the upcoming new and improved sim. Great video and it is refreshing to see this simulation truly come to and portray reality. As a pilot, I am so glad that I will be able to use this platform to keep up with my real world flight skills. On a side note, who would give this video a thumbs down???

If you need to compare something, at least choose the contemporary competition... Again, everyone knows FSX' graphics was pretty bad even back then. FSX is what got me started in flight simulator all those years ago so I look back with a kind of nostalgic fondness to it. I remember back then when everybody was advised to upgrade to least 2Gb of RAM Lol. I had an ATI GPU with 1Gb VRAM on it which was quite good for it's time. Oh how things have changed and moved on.

its amazing how we can finally sit through a 3 hour flight in a game and not get fully bored. I have flown several hour flights and the scenery is amazing. night or day preferably day but damn I just flew from Vegas to LA today first time and it was a night flight cause I play with real time/weather. and coming into LA is beautiful with all the lights.

Looks promising, but i really hope they improved the "save" and "load" features. Being able to load a saved flight just before intercepting the localizer and have it loaded correctly with the aircraft systems not bugging with false alarms or wrong aircraft setup, fms fuel freq and pfd correctly loaded so we can just fly the ILS raw data as many time as we deem necessary to train better.

I'd love to see x plane 11/12 which ever is the latest standard vs MS 2020 standard before any add ons!! Tried Xplane 9 or 10 and couldn't add any scenery after trying for several hours so gave up on it.Just me I guess.

I doubt that X-Plane will catch up anytime soon, Microsoft can only do this because of Azure and Bing, graphics are somewhat auto-generated by Neuro-networks running on Azure and of course perfected by modelers, the game itself runs on the Azure cloud and it is in simple terms "streamed" to your PC. X-Plane doesn't own a cloud or Map service, so they would have to rely on 3rd parties to help them.

When i was 4 years old, i played the Flight Simulator 2002 with my dad in his Computer, 18 years later i saw this MFS 2020 and WOW!!!! That's amazing, i remember that days when i played MFS 2002 with my dad all day

10 years was a long time wasn't it? Closed Beta is being released mid-July so definitely making progress. It's still in development and we were hopeful it will be out this year but the Coronavirus definitely slowed things down. But they are working very hard to maintain the timeline best as they can :)

I have so many mods to my FSX, I kinda forgot how bad default FSX is out of the box comparatively. Be interesting to see this with an FSX with a bunch of Mods like ORBX or something vs 2020, no doubt new FS is going to still be loads better but still, would be cool to see a side by side in a video too.

I'm interested to see if one of my local landmarks is in the game. The former Bethlehem Steel HQ, Martin Tower, was used by pilots for approach and for weather at KABE since it was built in the 70s. It's still on maps but it was imploded last year.

Is it weird if I want to have a PMDG style 737 and do bunch of flights instead of VFR? I love airliners and I hope they give them some detail. Now I also hope a realistic addon wont cost 90 dollars... Anyways looking absolutely amazing, is it going to be 1 time payment or subscription?
