Look, children. This is what a comedy sketch used to look like. It was funny, because it made fun of stereotypes, bad behavior and abusing authority. We banned all this now, because, you know, everybody needs to feel safe, and someone might feel unsafe, because they are stupid and have no sense of humour or a notion of what a joke or sarcasm is, so they might take it personally - and that would make them feel unsafe themselves, or outraged on behalf of some other people who might feel unsafe! So now we have no jokes, no lampooning of anything and anybody and no fun, but we all feel *so safe* in exchange. OK children, put on your masks, gloves, get all your vaccination certificates and disinfectant sprays ready, because we are leaving the museum shortly.

@MrGriff305 it's as Dana said it was a different era. So many shows and movies have such different comedy then what people would perceive as okay or outrageous today lol. My favorite will still be Chris Farely yelling "kill whitey" and everyone in the audience is uncomfortably dead silence and the band next to him just looks worried ( Black Sheep). If such a line was uttered as a joke like that in a movie today you could bet people would make it into a political argument rather then just enjoying it for being a short joke. * also me. Just read an article and had to check out what he and others felt was so offensive lol.

Anyone else here after reading about Dana Carvey’s apology to Sharon Stone? First time I’ve ever watched this video and I see nothing wrong with it - okay maybe the fake Indian voice wasn’t PC, but the fact that guys were all horned up over Stone after Basic Instinct with her no-panties scene puts this all into context. Come to think of it, I have to wonder why, when they asked her what color underwear she was wearing… why she didn’t answer, “what makes you think I’m wearing any, fellows?” That would have been perfect! 😂

Dana Carvey actually apologized for this recently…..people have become so wussified these days…so now we have well known actors apologizing for a skit they did more than 2 decades ago..a sketch where even Sharon Stone is quoted as saying that she was fine with it.People have lost the ability to understand how to keep things in context….It would be different if they forced her to do it or pressured her… Sharon Stone actually was quoted as saying that she people need to learn how to laugh again.
