Coach Salas, on your counter play …the double on the 3 tech…if your LG steps left foot first and that LB over him now shoots the A gap …he’s never getting back on him to prevent penetration, which destroys a gap scheme play. LG should pick it up and put it down (Right foot) Tough step and lift technique….he’s the lifter …Tackle is steerer… LG is that Crowther Tech in my opinion…

Tom it won't let me reply to your comment. Or I can't figure it out. We do an 1.5 hour practice in Spring & Summer. In a 2 platoon practice it takes 55 min to install. 10-Pre, 10 Position, 10 Rts on Air, 5 screens, 10 Run Install, 10 Pass Install.

If facing a 3 Tech on the RB side running 25 or 24. Do you still have the center block back on the 3 or do you change it to either run GT towards the 3 or a more advantageous run audible? Also do you still run 7 and 9 now?

Yes we stay the same vs 3 or 1. Yes we still love 7 & 9.

Coach Salas, I had two questions... Do you have the group screen drill (settle and noose for screen) and orbit drill drawn up anywhere? Perhaps a cut up of how you implement both entities? Any help would be greatly appreciated. In addition, after listening to a podcast it seems that you have an outstanding special teams drill... I'm curious... All the best, Coach Cuniglio

Mario Cuniglio we have a 5 min 1/2 line screen period everyday. We rotate through now, bubble, RB & tunnel and work the fakes in that period also. We use 2 QB & 2 RB’s for the period. The special teams drill video is called best 5 min special teams drill.

Great question. 10 minutes route’s on air, 10 minutes skelly, 10 minutes inside run to install runs, 10 minutes team to go back through it all

Coach the RPO called "Slot-Thunder" how does the OL know what to run as far as the run play? Is it the BUZZ word "Thunder"?

Anthony Lucibello hey buddy thanks for watching the video. Slot is formation & Thunder is the play. OL will double scoop an odd front & scoop the 1 tech vs an even front. This year we started getting a lot of head up 2’s so we trapped an even front. Thanks

Thomas Basile we repeat the insert but 2nd week we do everything from 3x1. 3rd week we repeat but add tags.

Coach West we can run out of trips but more often from 2x2.
