It's incredible that software updates allowed this jet to perform similar manoeuvers to jets with TVC. The Swiss Hornet Demonstration Team also displayed that at RIAT. The legacy Hornet has to be one of the best-looking aircraft ever made. It looks fast even when it's on the ground! Abbotsford puts on a good airshow. I went to it ten years ago, and my favourite moment was a full ab sneak pass by an F-15E. Thanks for the video!!

Nice! Was at Gatineau airshow yesterday and he put on a great show. He’s pushing the limits of his aircraft compared to other demo pilots.

I think it has something to do with the upgraded Fly-by-wire system. The power of the computers have increased therfore it can do more extreme manouvres and still retain control. I dont know how much stress these old birds can take though 😂

I don't know squat about jets but the way this thing was shaking around it looked like an expolice/boston taxi. Everytime they hit a bump in the road it sounded like a pound of washers fell out of thing . Looks like that pilot did a great job. Btw...absolutely no disrespect to any of the crew or maintainers. If they don't have the budget they can only work with what they have.

Hey, I saw this team in Manitoba and I was really let down. The Crew looked like they were coming back from a Vikings convention. The main Viking was checking his phone while doing checks. Their uniforms weren't issued, they just made their own and got approval to wear them. The demo was so boring and slow compared to other years. And to top it off, when he finished and got out, the pilot ignored all the kids waving to him and started hanging his gear off the wing. The dress regulations and military deportment of the RCAF have really gone downhill.
