Oshkosh at its Busiest! Rapid-Fire Departures - Saturday Part 2 - EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2021

When the world's busiest airport lives up to the title! Morning haze kept all VFR departures grounded on Saturday, July 31st. As soon as the airport was opened, aircraft flooded the taxiways wanting to head home. The volunteers and air traffic controllers worked together to launch approximately 400 aircraft in about 90 minutes - about one takeoff every 13 seconds!

I'm in the line in the white and red TriPacer. It was about a 25 minute wait for take off, but it was well executed by the controlers.

How much fuel did you burn during the wait?

@@LueP59 in flight I would've burned about 4 gallons in that time so with it at idle I would guess about 1.5 gallons.
