That Baron coming in 00:50 is an ultra-rare model with monster Lycomings, 380hp on each side. Note the larger cowling shape.

If you want some hands on ATC work, this would be the place to get it. Amazing how they keep the flow of the airport moving.

Amazes me how some will almost bust their arses, trying to hit the dot perfectly. No need, just close will do
@waverlyacres34005 жыл бұрын
Nice to know little bucky buchanan is such a perfect pilot. No one came close to busting their little bucky butts!

Waverly Acres jeez dude, you didn’t even get what I was sayin. Oh well, to each their own
@waverlyacres34005 жыл бұрын
Buck Buchanan I heard nothing but compliments from ATC to the PILOTS that were landing. I was in the group that was landing. We’re you? I doubt it. Save your criticism for those that think you know it all.
@buckbuchanan58495 жыл бұрын
Waverly Acres What’s with the attitude? I have none. I’m pointing out something, that’s all. Was probably your first OSH?
@waverlyacres34005 жыл бұрын
Buck Buchanan Done with you bucky attitude. The pilots did a great job but you did nothing but critically input you worthless opinion. Real pilots are done with your worthless input.

Love your vids...wish I was there! Why are they asking them to land at the different dots?
@gerdawhite60125 жыл бұрын
Keith Brettell - At the time of this reply, it looks like you've had at least 7 hours to figure this out...taking a guess here...because different types of aircraft fly and land at different speeds; the different dots just keeping them from stacking up.
@tpalshadow5 жыл бұрын
They will land multiple planes at once on each runway. Sending them to a dot allows for spacing as they land and roll out. This year has been more of a challenge because the grounds are really wet so they are having them pull off on hard surfaces only, normally they would pull off onto the grass as soon as able.
@1320fastback5 жыл бұрын
When you have a very long runway and small GA planes you can have one land further down and one land at the threshold. Landing two planes nearly at the same time on the same runway. The "Yellow Dot" is probably runway center but the touchdown point for some.

as someone who lives in Airventure's back yard and has met many of these pilots at and outside the show. Many are humble, many are not rich, many love to fly. An ignorant comment from someone who likely complains about ignorance of others.
