I'm living near the airbase in Ukraine since 1978. Over decades we used to see and hear fighters and other cool stuff flying above 🙂 Now I'm happy to see those Su-27 birds 10:20 flying low over my home daily. They're much prettier and not so loud as former basic Mig-25s ✌🙂🇺🇦 Do you see "ПС" letters there on the board? It's "Повітряні Сили" [Povitryany Syly] = "Air Force", in Ukrainian.

Red Baron, aka Manfred von Richthofen was a very good pilot, but he never was the best in WW1 !!! First, this man was of Prussian aristocracy and to have specific rights (better plane and they could do what he wanted) they chose only easy target, and he never flew behind the enemy lines. Many victory being granted to him was the fact of his teammates. (War propaganda requires) It's like Lance Armstrong, it's easy to win when you have a killer team, and you are totally doped. (for Red better plane) Even more when you choose your races, these fights. Is Easy. If you want to know the best Pilote of this time, it's René Fonck, This guy are the best of WW1 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ren%C3%A9_Fonck The one if operated often far behind the opposing line. The method of French comptabilisation of the time was 3 visual confirmations ant the germine fighter crash in french line, whereas at the German it was enough only one and any wher. In reality, he probably shot down twice as many planes as the Red Baron. And this without choosing its targets and pilote a normal fighter of line ... René does not drink like the others pilote to relax. Prefer physical exercise and repeat tactics. This man had already understood what was going to be the ideal of modern pilot. He was from all the air campaigns. Unlike Guynemer or Richthofen, Fonck was untouchable, and ended the War alive.

I've always admired the Tornado. In the world of aircraft designs, the Tornado looks like it was meant to actually kill someone. A Dassault is beautiful, the F-16 and Euro Fighter look like something you'd like to own and fly yourself. The Tornado, along with the MiG-21, looks mean! Honestly, anyone who doesn't like airplanes...well, there's something wrong with them.

Very nice compilation. I was surprised to see an European country (Romania) still flying the Mig-21. The Belgian F-16s fly in some very atractive liveries, especially those with D-Day stripes and the Spitfire tail fin decals. And a funny fact, those Swiss Super Hornets fly with their arrestor hooks still in situ, altough they never will use them, the largest vessel in their navy is the size of a fast patrol boat not any longer than the Hornet itself! But maybe they have very short strips on the flanks of a mountain, they often use roads as well as air strips.
