My dad talked about how beautiful the Constellation was arriving at Munich airport when he was there with his parents, picking up his grandma who came flying in from Berlin. Must have been late 50s/early 60s… This is, next to the Concorde, the most beautiful commercial airplane ever made.
That's me in the B-25 'Miss Mitchell' at 44:22! Great footage!

Back in 1998 I was working in Paris, France and one week they had a staic air display of aircraft that lined the Champs-Élysées and there was a Corsair there and it was blue and shiny and was by far, the best looking aircraft there.

@Peakfreud yeah, although to br fair (imho), I think it would've been FAR more fitting.. perfectly & rightly so... to have had the newer F-35 paired up with a P-38 (aka the original "Lightning") instead...

Been to EAA @ OSH a bunch of years and it never disappoints! Man, there isn't ANYTHING more bone chilling than a Mustang dive howl... 9:05... If you've never heard this sound in real life, you have no idea of what I mean. All these super/ultra fighters with f@f, 20 mile radar, countermeasures systems, blah blah blah. You in a bunker or on a line of trees, you don't know or feel anything. Something like an AGM fired and you're here one second, then gone in a puff. That CAN'T compare to back then when there's a black dot coming out of the sun screaming bloody hell, sending you and everything around you into the paper shredder. You KNOW it's the end before its even started in a very excruciating obliteration.

HOW IN THE HELL DO THEY HAVE A F-22 RAPTER
@AidanK095 ай бұрын
The same way they have the fa/18 and the f35 lightning there. They ask the Air Force which is usually at large airshows, that's how they get the f22, f35, f18, f16, a10 and the other active military aircraft.
@drvinylscratch19362 ай бұрын
@@AidanK09 one year at my local airshow we almost had a raptor for it. It was scheduled and was practicing, but was a no show day of. Got to see it's routine as where I worked was in perfect view of the airspace of the field.
