Just to make it more well-known by adding another comment: these Glocks are apparently able to accept WE G-series magazines, which are significantly cheaper. buyairsoft.ca sells them for supremely cheap (an insanely low *$125 CAD* for KJW G23 w/ plastic slide, $150 CAD for KJW G32 w/ metal slide OR KJW G27 w/ metal slide, $160 CAD for KJW G17 but they only sell threaded barrels for the 23 and 32 and they have tinted composite polymer lower receivers to comply with Canadian airsoft law as they are sub-366 FPS) so I might pick one up one day. UPDATE (28/10/2018): G23 is now $130, G32 is now $165 but they’ve finally started selling G17 and G18 models with opaque bodies (CO2 version (gun with CO2 mag, can still use green gas) shoots high enough) for not much more. However, shops are starting to get their hands on them, so that’s probably worth checking out (unless they’re supremely overpriced, even by Canadian standards).

I just messaged PTS a few days ago asking if any of their new mags would fit my WE-Tech ACR and they told me, “We don’t test our mags in the counterfeit ACR”.😂 Only reason I bought the WE-Tech version is because it’s 1:1 scale with the real Remington ACR whereas the A&K and PTS models are not and have the charging handle in the wrong position. One of my friends had one too and said it shoots pretty well. I found midcaps that will work without me taking a dremel to the internals though so it’s all good.

Here’s my take These Glocks are cool, don’t get me wrong. It’s bout time we got a legal Glock in Airsoft. I just wish it wasn’t VFC. If it were another WE or a KJW and their awesome gas gun past. I myself have a KJW KP-17, and it’s awesoooome. It’s a Glock but no trades, if it had the trades it would cost another $50. Kinda ridiculous. The replacement mags... $45... you’ve gotta be takin the piss. A WE and KJW replacement mag is less than $30. Way better price. If you’re looking at getting this gun as your first one and ur a beginner I wouldn’t recommend it. Get an elite Force 1911, or an ASG P0-9. I bought a glock 42 from the same company for the same price, It was so good and it never broke down or stopped working, So today I decided to buy a glock 19 gen 3 (One being reviewed in video) and I am so stoked to get it in the mail!
@nicholast.66363 жыл бұрын
I understand that this comment will likely come after many of you have bought this, but as someone who got this product from outside of airsoft, I feel like my issues with reliability are something important to mention. For reference, I use airsoft guns for dryfire and dryfire about 100? 150? times a day (i'm not quite sure so take this number with a grain of salt). I have had this product for about 4 months and have had the hammer assembly break twice, both from what appear to be fundamental design flaws with this glock although they appear to be in other glock systems. The first time, about 2 months in, the tab that the hammer spring pushes the hammer with breaks. The hammer is made out of aluminum and this part sheared off causing the hammer to no longer work. I ordered a replacement hammer from a different company which while made out of steel, did not fit and had to be modified to fit. Now fast forward to a few weeks ago. I first noticed that similar to what was described in the video, the slide would get jammed up and stuck half way between fully open and fully closed. I thought nothing of this as the problem eventually went away with a few days of dryfire and i thought nothing of it. A few days ago i noticed that the trigger got significantly lighter than it was normally. I didnt really care about it and continued to dryfire until it started to get annoying. Apon disassembly, i noticed 3 problems. First, the hammer spring was bent out of shape. When attempting to bend it back, the spring snapped. Second, the spring that resets the hammer bearing(idk what its called but it allows the hammer to get cocked smoothly) snapped in half, likely what caused the slide getting jammed open. This could be partly my own fault as i had to bend that spring to get it to fit with the aftermarket hammer but it didn't break where i bent it which confused me. Third, the hammer housing had a physical indentation where the hammer hit it. This was a result of the hole which is used for a pin found in the glock 18 not being filled. This not only caused a dent(which would not be a problem on its own), but caused cracks to form in the hammer assembly. Another problem that has consistently happened is the breaking of the baseplates. These magazines are quite heavy and when impacting wood flooring, the baseplates tend to shatter. Now this was solved by adding foam pads to the bottom of the plastic baseplates, but it is still a problem. Overall, these problems appear like they would be consistent throughout all airsoft glocks, but something to take note of if you wish to use yours for extended periods of time. Thanks for reading my essay, for completing this task, you get 1 extra brownie point.
@BrievKaput3 жыл бұрын
I’ve had mine for about a year now and have gone to my local airsoft field every weekend and I have never experienced any of those problems. I guess you just got a bad one

What's sad is that the G18 was a failure. I've replaced the magazine release on mine after fielding it for just this year, the full auto works when it wants to, the slide wears at the slide catch. I actually had to grind out the wear and shim the slide catch to take all of the wobble out of it in order to prevent further wear. This was done on the replacement. Same issues as the one I sent back. Welp, I won't hold my breath on umarex fixing these issues on the G18.

I'm glad I purchased the previous Stark Arms G19 Gen3 for much le$$, also made by Umarex with Semi/Full Auto selector under the slide and 100% exact same trade marks as the real one. Now they sell same pistol under Elite Force G19 and added the" Officially Licensed" logo to the handle replacing the Made in Austria Glock Inc. Smyrna, GA and leaving the US. Pat numbers blank. They also removed the Semi/Full Auto selector and on top of that, they raised the price. Hard to find other brands on eBay (WE- KJW, etc) because they will be removed.

After only 3 weeks of use the frame cracked next to the slide catch. Also the slide was damaged using too much the slide release and it caused the slide not locking back. Great for training tho. To be honest , If you are in asia , don't even bother with this piece Personally, I lived in HK and run akimbo glocks in CQB. The first pair of glocks I used was a second hand TM Glock22 and a VFC Glock 17 gen 3 ( I assumed that it is the same gun because they said that they use old mold). Both survive the first game . However VFC one already lose its sight . I had to buy a new sight and glue it to the gun. Disaster happened in second game though. In the middle of fighting, VFC one's hammer set is broken and TM one's slide broken but still fire accurately For the VFC one , I can hardly find any spare parts for the hammer compartment . Most of them were out of stock at that time (hammer set has a bit variation from TM). But for TM slide, I found many different type of replacement .(in asia) For example ,there are normal aluminum slide for G17, or custom slide like SAI ,TTI ,Agency Arms , ZEV.Some can even install RMR sight. Finally , I got myself a sliver TTI G17 Slide to save the TM pistol. At that time , John Wick 2 is a big hit. My fellow airsofter in hk build their own TTI G34 which similar to the one in movie. As I saved up more for the hobby , I transformed that TM pistol a lot. There are lots of aftermarket parts to work with in asia. The only thing left are the guiding rod, the middle body and the hammer set . My second pair of glocks consist of a custom TM glock and a WE G18C. ( good thing about we in hk is that they had a lot of backup parts. To be short, in asia , glock are saturated in airsoft . You don't have to try a mediocre one. Go get like KJ KP13 ,KP17 , WE G17 ,G18C or even build your own If you are in place other than asia and you want your glock other than VFC/EF , I guess I could only wish good luck btw.

I just bought myself a Glock 17 Gen 4 for my birthday two days ago as my first ever GBB pistol. The store had many selections of pistols, including Hi Capa legends like the Tokyo Marui 5.1 and the JW Taran Tactical Combat master. But for some reason the good ol' Glock felt the nicest in my hand and really had that blend of ergonomics that I was looking for in a pistol. It's nothing groundbreaking or fancy, but it is a serviceable and reliable sidearm that won't let you down for the sheer consistency of it all. I cannot wait to go to an event and bring this to a field so that I can truly let it rip. The mags are too expensive tho so that is a bit of a downside.

I picked up one of these today as a training tool to complement the (real) Glock 23 that I carry. It seems to be solidly built and fit nicely in the hand. It fits my existing Glock holsters perfectly with the exception of the extended orange tip on the barrel which prevents it from fully seating in some concealed carry holsters. The controls feel exactly right and it required no real adjustments to train with vs. training with my actual pistol. With just one day of shooting in, I can't really comment on its durability or longevity, but I haven't encountered any issues so far. I wish it wasn't priced so high, but I'm satisfied with it so far. As a complement to/substitute for live fire range time, it makes financial sense for sure.

Why did you keep releasing the slide before putting in a new mag? You can't load a new mag with the slide back?

Echo1 redstar operator combat weapon carbine aeg airsoft gun, the new gun I'm lookin at, however I can't seem to find good reviews like you make em. If you could give me your opinion on this rifle that would be amazing.

Wow, so VFC even used the same "GEM208" serial number on the barrel and slide that did years ago.

That basement floor reminds me of when I had a bean bag chair explode on me. Too bad the mags are so expensive, I'd love to train mag dumps but at that price, how durable are they?

I have heard that the Glock 17 won't fit in real steel holsters. Is that true with the Glock 19s as well?

As far as the standard gbb models go... Idk if they're worth the $170 tag plus the expensive mags. But the CO2 high end versions are what I'll be waiting for. I want that 34 that they have lol

How strong are green gas hand guns? We don’t play with co2 since they are to powerful, I know there’s no electric hand guns, is there any good hand guns to play with same power as a rifle
@quitreadingth1s45 жыл бұрын
I believe green gas is the same power as co2

This is gonna be a crazy question. But, how many inches of styrofoam do you think these BB's can penetrate at about 5-15 feet away? I may make my own little range and I'm looking into styrofoams to buy but I'm not too sure how much penetration power these things have.
@carbonoxx2 жыл бұрын
low power, will not penetrate a cardboard box

@USAirsoft5 жыл бұрын
Gin Devrient I believe that standard TM upgrades would be compatible since I’ve never heard about the VFC models being proprietary internally. Look into that a little more however. The Airsoft Teching Q&A on Facebook is much more knowledgeable on this than I’ll ever be.

$44 is the same as a lm4 gas mag? Um last I checked they were $55-$60 a piece. And its the same price as a kwa 1911 mag. Not really expensive.

Well to be honest its not that great after all! for example after maybe half a year of using it the magazine holder broke and i had to make a new one. Also the slide release tears up the slide very bad(the aluminium is just too soft so the little notch gets rounded off... the slide does not hold anymore) and the biggest disadvatage is, that the glock does not function at all if it is a little bit cold. Other gas operated softairs work way better when its cold(for example my Mp7)
