As a person who has played both (and enjoys them both) I think play what you prefer. I prefer airsoft because it doesn’t leave a big mess, is a lot cheaper, and has so many more options when it comes to weapons and play styles. Also about the “bang bang” rule in airsoft I only use it when it’s enforced or if I am in a private match with little kids.

Paintball vs airsoft. I like paintball more but damn that tech stuff and and the paintball prices got mega facked!!! Air soft keeps the game going longer price wise. Still have prices mad high but not everything! I payed 120 for a mp5 paintball setup with my 3,000 psi tank carbon kev at 105 with adapter plus pack line, 11 buks for pack 100 green, I spent total about 310ish with mask and extra hooper plus loaders. You can probably guess how long ago that was. Even the place closed down in rancho.

Airsoft for Milsim hands down. Paintball for the speedball/tournament aspect hands down. It's brutal and amazing. Costs so much money though. Even if you're sponsored. Airsoft is for people who don't want huge welts, a mess, or to wreck their bank account in my experience. Or for people who want a more realistic experience due to the equipment allowing more options. Paintball was here first though. Most fields allow both.
